The Surface Pro 8 being a little larger and having thunderbolt makes all the difference in the world. And you can get it at a discount because the SP9 is out since the difference between the 8 and 9 is negligible.

I agree, thunerbolt is huge. Especially since there are so many thunderbold docking station out there that allow you to have a 2 external monitor setup and much needed extra USB ports.
