I have a question here if you can give an answer to it, I received an NVC letter (Hard copy) by physical mail, mentioning that my I 130 (F2B) case has a visa available and I have to start paying fees and submitting supported documents within one year otherwise the visa will be terminated. but I have not received any invoice number. Your PD is not current for filing yet. NVC will not enable fee payment until your F4 PD becomes current for filing. It appears you have a long wait ahead of you unless NVC and Consulates speed up the processing. Sorry my friend.

Thanks for your question. Beneficiary in the US can submit adjustment of status I-485 which appears to be faster than consular processing currently. If the beneficiary is outside of US, you’d wait till your priority date becomes current for filing. At that time, NVC will initiate your visa application processing. The current priority date for f2B has been Jan2017. You still have a chance to get visa. National visa center has a big amount of backlog to clean. I predict your wait time would be at least another 3 years unless NVC speeds up soon. I have seen f2B petitions with priority date of 2016 are still in the waiting zone. I predict the NVC backlog cleanup time monthly. Welcome to watch the video.

My priority is found on chart B and since September they are still on 1st January 2017 and my priority date is on the 23July 2017 which is the date we were documentary qualified.
NVC will schedule the interview when your PD becomes current for final action (chart A). The current priority date for F2B final action is 22SEPT2015. If your petition priority date shown on i-797 is earlier than 22SEPT2015, NVC will schedule your interview soon. Otherwise, you will have to wait until your priority date becomes current for final action. VIsa Bulletin Chart B is used to determine the current visa filing date. Since you have already filed and DQ’d, you should look at chart A to determine the interview scheduling time.

The wait time for Sibling visa type is long. Currently they are processing UAE F4 cases filed around mar2007. You may have many years of wait time ahead until they let you pay the fees.

After the denial, you have 1 year to provide additional evidence. You should contact immigration attorney as soon as possible to understand the true reason of denial and if you are eligible to file a waiver. After a year, your case will be closed and you will need to reapply from the beginning.

Hi my parents I-130 petition has been approved. But they they asked for I-824 I filed that and send the fee. I then figured out that I have made a mistake in I-30 on question 61 and 62. I meant to select only 62 which is my parents case will go through consuler processing but I selected both options. I got the receipt number for I-824 in October 2022. It's been 5 months I haven't get any update from USCIS or NVC. Do you know how long they take to transfer case to NVC after filing I-824. Do we need to wait to get approval of I-824? Hi there, if I understand you correctly, you intent to have the beneficiaries apply immigrant visa abroad using the consular processing. Assuming you chose the correct “reason for request” on i-824, it can take 90 -180 days or longer to get to NVC. If you have waited for 6 months after receipt date, I suggest you contact NVC.

NVC reviews and accepts the documents, so usually the email with review result comes from National Visa Center. The date that NVC emailed you they documentarily qualified your documents is the DQ date. Check ceac.state.gov/IV On this site, your submitted doc should show “accepted”.

Hello ! Please help me understand I filed the Form I-130 to reunite with my son in 2020. I additionally needed to submit Form I-824 (because I didn't provide the address on the form). My account says they received my Form I-824... My case was approved in 2022 and transferred to NVC. I became a US citizen two weeks ago and I need to make a request to change my status. I went to the NVC website and in Public Inquiry Form they are asking for a recipient number but I can't figure out which recipient number I need to enter, for the form I-130 or I-824. It is ok to make a payment regardless of the document submission status. There is a flow chart available on CEAC page when you log in.
