In this series of videos, I will show you some Boa Constrictor Imperator morphs that I work with.
Co-Dominant genes are very fun to play with when breeding Boa Constrictors. They pass on to some of the offspring without both parents having a copy of the gene. I mention Motley but it should be noted that super Motley BCI ends up dying at an early age so should be avoided.

    About Me!
Full-time dad and Hairdresser by trade. I wanted a pet Golden Greek Tortoise so went to a reptile show. There weren't any, instead just thousands of snakes which was scary. Held one, fear turned into fascination, bought one. That full story is here www.youtube.co....
Now I help to teach tons of people to face their fears and see snakes for the lovely creatures that they are! I keep and breed: Boa Constrictors, GTP (Green Tree Python), Superdwarf Reticulated Pythons, Ball Pythons, Corn Snakes, Rat snakes, Drymarchon, Giant Leopard Geckos, and Florida King Snakes.

Hey thx for the video bro. Quick question. That darker snake on the left in your thumbnail looks identical to mine. They told me it was a key west motley. Is that what that snake is?

Can the img gene be heterozygous? Can I get a normal boa het for img?

Fire and fire make super fire which is white boa. Fire is a co-dominant gene

Co-dominant is actually not correct. This is a common misconception in the reptile hobby, so definitely not your fault!
You are talking about "incomplete dominant" which is a genotypic trait. An incomplete dominant gene is a dominant gene with a super form (like hypo, motley, jungle, etc). A dominant morph is when there is no phenotypic (visual) difference when there are one or two allylic copies of the gene and so it has no super form (like IMG).
A co-dominant genetic trait on the other hand is when multiple genes are responsible for a strictly phenotypic trait. Co-dominance is the relationship (hence the "Co") between genes that together are responsible for a certain visual trait. Like when for example the combination of gene A and gene B, give you a certain type of nose. When a woman who has a big nose has a kid with a man that has a small nose, and the kid has the big nose of the mom, then the big nose is a co-dominant trait. Why? Because multiple genes were together dominant in the "big nose" phenotype, making the big nose a co-dominant trait.
    Hope it makes sense 😁

Yes like bumble bee in ball python but most don't understand this so I just explained it in a simple way that most people refer to as co-dominant. I understand the difference and your right.
