Nice - what does the seat thingy do actually? It trips the alarm if someone tries to sit on the bike? -SOunds the alarm if someone tries to remove the bike seat? BTW - who is manufacturing the alarm? What does it say on the label on the unit?
Correct, the seat sensor is if someone takes the seat off without deactivating the alarm. The packaging said Triumph when I bought it. I'm not sure who or where it is manufactured.
@@SeadogSeven The device itself has a sticker with manufacturer data, serial number etc. There it should say who makes it. If yo can please take a look
@GOINFINITI I understand. I don't have the packaging anymore. This video is almost 2yrs old. In the video, the sticker says 'Genuine Triumph Part'. You have the same details I see in the video. I'm sure if you lookup the part numbers, that'll give you the info you're looking for
Not at all. It's a self contained system that plugs into your bike harness so that it can access lights, etc. I'm going to be making a video on unrestricting the throttle. There are other videos out there for other bikes but this one will be for my Rocket 3.
@@SeadogSeven I'm told that this unit is obsolete and is no longer being manufactured. I was also told that there wasn't a problem with the units just that triumph stopped doing security accessories. Which is strange because all their bikes are equipped with harnesses for it. Do you know if the GPS tracking or track Plus accessory works in the United States?
I'm not sure about being obsolete. My video isn't very old but I guess it's possible. I haven't had any issues with it. I would still recommend it based on my personal experience but I can't speak to anything else from the Internet. I'm sure you'll do your own research and come to a conclusion. I'm not sponsored by anyone and I did a ton of research before I bought this unit. I don't know anything about their GPS+ accessories.
@@SeadogSeven I bought one based on your video. I called Triumph and they did an international search for the alarm. There are very few left in the United States I had to order from the UK.
@richardciampa9346 That tracks. I just searched my email to see where I got mine from. It was on eBay and from the UK. I took a screenshot of the order to show but I guess comments don't allow that. 🤣
Nice installation video. Providing the exact part numbers in the description was the best thing to do. Couldn't really get them from the video.
Thanks. I'll have a new installation view for replacement turn signals. My rear ones got bumped and one sits at a weird angle.

The install didn't require dealer updates?
