I've learnes to look at the trees in videos. It gives me a more solid perspective on just how steep it is. The camera is always aligned with body which is aligned with bike which is aligned with the trail, hence the illusion of a flat trail.
Yeah if you've ever watched a video of a trail that is kind of steep, it looks flat almost in video. When something looks even kind of steep on video you know it's probably gonna be gnarly
Great stuff I liked that tech rock garden climb, timing and placing those pedal strokes very important there! Good motivation for me to practice stuff i can't clear. But Honestly I would roll couple of those nasty ones out of the way, why risk falling over in that. you did good and the rest of trail LOOKS BURLY !🤭 Keep The rubber side down my Friend and keep up the good work!!!
haha yeah I thought about rolling a few out of the way but quickly stopped myself. It's a great challenge to work up towards and I'm certain there are plenty of riders better than me who love that section. Thanks for the encouragement!
The GoPro affect has to be the most annoying thing! I wanna try and start using a tripod for a third person view, to maybe give them a better understanding.
I don't have a link since I'm not a fan of the setup to be honest. Goggles are Oakley O Frame 2.0 Pro MTB (with fog defense which doesn't work that well), vision type: single vision digital MaxView, Trivex material. I can see the outside of the inserts with these... I did buy a pair of the SportRx Huckson's and these sunglasses have been awesome. I wish I would have gotten a clear pair of the Huckson's instead of goggles and inserts
@@MTB_Corbin Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking about picking up a pair of pro-vue inserts since they have a larger field of view. I wear normal prescription impact sports glasses for trail/enduro riding. However, when I'm on the DH track I want the extra protection of the goggles.
Go pro effect is definitely real!! I have been bitten many times by watching a video, then thinking “ oh I can do that, piece of cake”. Only to get there and think Yikes! This is tougher than I thought. I’m not so sure these trails are unsanctioned. I have ridden there a few times and it’s no secret ( not like those other trails, on exit &$). These tails are on All Trails. But I’ll leave it up to you if you want to mention any trail names.
haha that's gotten me plenty of times as well! Definitely seen something on video that I thought was chill then in person was like "yeah this aint it" lol These trails are still unsanctioned. They are on All Trails but the owner who allows us to use that property is pretty adamant in keeping them off trailforks and officially unsanctioned (at least that's what others have told me who know the owner). For the sake of being extra cautious, I wont be disclosing the trail names or location
As someone who hikes way more than I bike, AllTrails ends up with a lot of trails that shouldn't be on there. Sometimes with "trails" right through people's property that can be, let's say, "enthusiastic" about letting you know it's their property and you shouldn't be there.

That’s a great way to look at it!

100% accurate. It’s hard to explain to someone who’s never biked or experienced riding a trail then watching it from an action camera POV
You playing around at SBH again?
Great live action commentary and I dig the random sound effects.
Thank you!

I can't even comprehend how to do some of those rock sections lol. Very impressive to even try!
Love the commentary!!
Haha thanks!
Great riding!
Thank you!

That's a good idea! Sometimes I'll try to record something on my phone to show in the videos but it still doesn't turn out very good lol
Do you have a link to the goggles and prescription inserts you use? I use 100% armega and I can't stand how I can see the outside of my inserts.

Makes sense! Goggles are great if you can manage to find a pair that allows us blurry eyed folk to see the rocks and roots haha

Definitely interested in learning what trails these are if they are sanctioned. Looks fun!

For the sake of privacy and respecting the owner, I wont be disclosing these trails... Sorry about that!
@@MTB_Corbin no worries! Totally respect that.

That's a bugger of a corner for sure
Quite rough when the rock was slick... But I'm determined to make it happen lol
