    OMG - the Arrangement track! Genius, thank you! (and also for all your other info, which is so very helpful and well thought through!)

    Can’t believe I never knew about the arrangement track! I’d actually made iPad GB my go-to DAW just because of how fiddly it is editing and moving sections about on the Mac - what a dolt I’ve been! Great video, thanks.

    Great video Patrick! I knew about most of these but always get in the habit of forgetting the tricks that Garageband offers! Thanks again for all of your help! Maybe I'll start using these shortcuts next project! 😆

    TY soooooo friggin much for that trick to expand or add a new intro to a piece. I have got that exact scenario going on right now and started the painstaking bumping of tracks then said screw it. Let me see if there is any help on your channel and…..BOOM!!! Problem

    Wrong 4 out of 5 (Making my own patches was the first thing I learned in GB by accident) but the loop key preference change was well worth the tome. Thanks!

    Excellent information, communicated clearly and charmingly; and the musical lilt and the wee Scottish accent (Isn’t that what it is?. I’m not sure, I’m from New York City!) make your site one of the best learning sources for GarageBand and beyond.
    You’re a skilled teacher, that demystifies the very nuanced ins and outs of Garage Band and probably so much more.
    Thank you🙏🏽🎶🕊

      What a lovely comment Marc, thank you so much! And yes - it is a Scottish accent.

    Definitely guilty of not working with patches; and while I use the arrangement track all the time, it was only "documentation" for me so far, I didn't realize I can, well, arrange the song with it 😀🙈. Glad to report that the other points you were wrong and I am not wrong.

  • @composerdoh
    @composerdoh ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thank you! Great tips! For the arrangement track markers- can you set them via time or do they have to be by measures/beats? I find some of the measure features in GB and Logic frustrating b/c my music has a lot of meter and tempo changes, so I often just ignore the beat markers and just go by time.

    Can you tell me how to disable the feedback protection window that keeps popping up?
    Trying to record a heavy guitar. I am playing through a Spark amp connected through USB. Garageband recognizes the connection just fine but but I can turn my levels completely down and strum the guitar and it will still pop up. I have unchecked the feedback protection and it still does it. I am monitoring through my headphone plugged into a scarlet 2i2.

    I’m having an issue with GarageBand. When I go to the instrument settings for the type of bass sound I want, the acoustic bass sound effect is gone. I’ve used it for years. Also the NO EFFECT setting is gone…many other sound modeling are gone. I’ve used Timemachine to reinstall GarageBand from months ago…still the same problem. Can you guide me?

  • @JonBushell

    Great videos but quick question. All your videos aren’t GarageBand but Mac logic? Is that right? They don’t look like iPad GarageBand but full version?

    • @TheGaragebandGuide
      @TheGaragebandGuide  ปีที่แล้ว

      No I usually do a mix of both. This one is for Mac though.

    [EDIT this is for iOS !]…HEADS UP Patrick, about brilliant sale from one of your favourite Devs - ‘Waverley’ is being thrown around on Apple’s App Store for 89p a shot. The big ones, MU and WT which I just obtained, and I already had the more economically-spaced (?!) Mood one. The XL and WT - don’t ask me the difference I have not a scooby - are a whopping Gb apiece the description says, so only grab it if you’ve got the space. ALL the products seem to be 89pence UK, his ambient soundscapers etc as well as the Audio Units I mentioned already. And, I will watch your vid while I’m here. Take care all, be at peace. I am most at peace while making an unholy racket it turns out.

      Great tips, but likewise I only have an iPad, would be really helpful to be specific in the naming of the videos if it relates to a specific version of GB i.e. Mac or IOS only. Thanks
