I’m not sure why anyone would think this was Trump’s salvation in this case? Witness testimony is a big part of the prosecution’s case. But only so far as it is being used to corroborate the documentary evidence against Ex-President Pampers. I understand that the documentary evidence presentation is not as sexy to show in media clips. But here, its the majority of the weight against him, and what the Grand Jury used as the basis for handing down his indictment. As far as I am aware, nothing Trump’s defense team has done thus far, has contradicted this damning evidence. So, yes, reasonable doubt is the standard, but based upon the weight of all of the evidence presented combined. Do I think Conway did a great job in this clip, no, no I do not. But one shot to the jaw of the prosecution’s corroboration witness is FAR FROM a knock out blow. And it certainly is not a slam dunk “game over” for EITHER side in a jury trial. If you think this, you have never tried a criminal case. A Jury is 50/50 right up until the verdict is read.

It's not just a blow to Cohen's credibility about a specific phone call. It's a blow to his credibility about everything. His entire testimony should be ignored by the jury and the prosecution should be investigated for suborning perjury.

Even CNN was itching for anything to call a Matlock moment. Blanch was asking the most convoluted questions to throw him off balance, and Cohen was pushing back and not taking the bait. The text coming out of this said more about Blanche’s over-the-top theatrics than any lapses in Cohen’s memory. Anderson Cooper was just breathless and rambling, but the consensus I’m seeing is that Cohen did stumble a little, but otherwise held his own in the face of a blistering cross-examination.

But he didn't show that the call was a lie. He tried to show it but he has to rely on one juror to get to reasonable doubt. In my opinion counting on one juror is not defending your client. And anyone they put on will be killed on cross by the prosecutor. And they will have to show why a testimony from a person not on their witness list should be allowed to testify. I do believe the prosecutor will object and win the objection.
If you really look at the whole situation of this case, you have to understand what trump knew. I don't quite understand the overwhelming significance of the prank call from the 14-year-old and its relation to the overall timeline. Are we to believe that Cohen took out a 130K loan for Trump without Trump having any knowledge of it or approving of it or how Cohen would get his money back? But he didn't show that the call was a lie. He tried to show it but he has to rely on one juror to get to reasonable doubt. In my opinion counting on one juror is not defending your client. And anyone they put on will be killed on cross by the prosecutor. And they will have to show why a testimony from a person not on their witness list should be allowed to testify. If i was the jury i would pick up the time of call as evidence than text messages . He is human and i can't remember every text and calls made before that call. So the defense has not yet dealt with the case for which we expect them to do on Monday. The same phone records will be the evidence that trump knew about all this payment. If the text went to the Trump body guard the just know that trump knows

I don't quite understand the overwhelming significance of the prank call from the 14-year-old and its relation to the overall timeline. Are we to believe that Cohen took out a 130K loan for Trump without Trump having any knowledge of it or approving of it or how Cohen would get his money back? No one would be stupid enough to do something like that for someone they work for, no matter who that is.
