    I'm a trucker and my camera has continuous power, I'm only away from truck for a few minutes a day. I'm in different locations constantly. I sleep in the truck most days. This camera is great when it works. But 85% of the time it just quits recording for no reason. I've tried to troubleshoot but it's a pain dealing with the company. No tech support to speak with and no phone number to contact company. Only emails so it takes hours or days to troubleshoot.

      I also had the same issues. Returned it after finding out customer service is email only. No phone number and it’s all outsourced to asia so response times are in the middle of the night. Also couldn’t stand the fact there is no sd card option. Cloud only.

      Thanks for letting us know. I have the nexar beam and it works great. Sometimes it disconnects from my phone when im away but you can always open the app and make sure its connected. Regardless its still recording into the SD card whether connected to phone or not

    I can confirm all of these issues! I preordered the Nexar One back in November 2021 and had nothing but problems with it once I finally received it. All of the N1 features sound great on paper but they simply don’t work reliably, which for a security device, is absolutely unacceptable.

    At first I had issues with connectivity. After a million emails, I switched which side the lte is on and it finally worked. The live cam will drain your battery, even though they say it won’t. It records really well when driving. The live does work, and it kinda does everything it says. In order to do the live you have to have continuous power, which will inevitably drain your battery.

      How is it for you getting videos off the nexar? In my updated review I couldn't even get videoe of my nexar onto my computer to put them in my review. When I shared the link to download it didn't work. Also couldn't download to my phone.

    Nexar came out with new downloads to fix these problems. I was having connectivity problems, and the microphone just quit recording audio for no reason. After the firmware updates, so far so good.

    Most dash cams don’t have batteries. At most they have little capacitors but won’t record much. You have to have it continuously connected for live view to work.

    Good review. I’m having the same issue as well. I’m thinking it’s the cellular connectivity on the unit and I’m not sure how long it stays powered by battery so I ordered a OBD cable for continuous power. Plus it sucks video doesn’t go straight to the cloud like the other models do. Makes difference especially in an emergency where you need to pull the video right away. I sent my owl camera back when I preordered this unit thinking it would be better and I’m very upset of the performance so far.

      Don’t even bother getting the cable, I did a hardwire thinking it would work as well since it would have continuous power but nope, it still Didn’t work. I was looking forward to this camera since November of last year but it sucks. I just can’t get the connectivity to work remotely, when I’m away from the car at all.

      @@luis12396 I think they need to either issue a firmware update or replace all the connectivity attachments. Clearly there's something wrong with them. They should at least add Bars to the app so u can see your signal strength.

      I wish I could skip the cellular connectivity and just connect the cam to wifi as I always have wifi in my vehicle from my jetpack and home Internet reaching the driveway.

      I totally agree with you I have the new one and it’s a Piece of junk it stops recording and it takes days and sometimes weeks to get a hold of support support team is lousy

    I feel like, I'm really good at setting up tech. I have a ton of it with 3 homes and a commercial building. I am really, quite unhappy with this unit and was really looking forward to getting this....6 months late.

    Just had another firmware update applied - if you still have the Nexar - try the connectivity again.

    For anyone trying to do live view when your car is parked without power to the camera, it drains the battery significantly! Nexar support informed me that only 1-2 live views on a 80% battery will kill the battery completely. It makes ZERO sense that one peak at your vehicle could drain an entire battery. I sent my product back after this. LTE still doesn’t work as advertised.

    I got the same problem. With nexar support now. It sucks so far. No connectivity at all. . Good video. Good to know I'm not alone.

      Nexar actually reached out to me. They are having issues with the connectivity and say they are fixing it. I will be doing another review shortly but they said the subscription is free on the meantime till they get the connectivity working fully.

    I’m glad I canceled my pre order , I didn’t even watch the video yet , just read the comments and wow they have horrible customer service and after 2 years almost they release a bad product

    I received mine about 10 days ago. First thing it did was prompt me the update the firmware, and the camera wouldn’t take the update, it would just fail. Since I couldn’t update the camera, I couldn’t activate the camera, so I couldn’t get chat support via the app - I had to go through email. Send an email, get steps to try 25-30 hours later, that doesn’t work, send a reply, get more steps, those don’t work, send a reply, take videos, get a response back 25-30 hours later, this went on for days. That’s an unacceptable level of support. Just sent it back.

    I’ve had mine in the box for 2 months and I was just about to take it to get installed and I’m seeing nothing but negative comments. I am not sure I can return it outside policy but trying to waiting to hear back first. IF I can’t, you think it’s worth installing and dealing with the mess until it gets better? I can’t imagine they not making a lot of these features usable long term. Thoughts?

      Nexar reached out to me and I had a zoom call with them. They said they are working very hard to fix all the issues. I guess we shall see how long it takes.

    Same with mine. Customer service is a joke with this company, they'll only communicate through email and seems like there's a translation issue. I'm returning everything.

    Yeah, I recently purchased a Nexar Beam GPS Dash Cam. Same problem. Very frustrating. Some videos show that the driver can, on the spot, clip a video of, say, an accident, perfect, but I can't even view videos let alone review or clip. Yuk.

      Just say no.
      Mine won’t load videos anymore. Tried to reset everything and now it won’t pair. I spent 2 hours trying everything.
      It’s really really bad

    I got mine 2 weeks ago and have not got it ti work at all. Customer service sucks!! have to what days for them to get back with you.Hoping for a refund.

    I bought the Nexar one, I like the video quality but not the audio quality. Software app is annoying as hell. I would not recommend this, especially spending 300 for it. I regret buying it.

    I purchased this camera as well the Nexar One it doesn’t record it keeps disconnecting when you call support they take 1 to 2 days when they respond they respond regarding something entirely different than what you’re asking for it’s frustrating because it could be a week before you get an answer and generally after you get in touch with them they tell you to delete the app and reinstall it I’ve done that 49 times and this stupid dash cam still does not work I’m trying to get them to take it back I will never buy a product from them again

      @@honestreview169 parking detection did not worked, did not record videos to the cloud I had active subscription, did not received alerts as mention. It was an obsolete device. Good looking device but did not worked as advertised in all aspects.

    Horrible product! Just returned it today. It was a most frustrating dash cam ever. Never worked well. 0/10. Get the Vantrue N4 or Vantrue X4S

    I avoid anything Nexar simply because their customer service is absolutely horrible. 6 months later I can’t connect my dash cam and customer service won’t respond to any emails

      @@WillieWalnuts the update must be done through the camera settings in the app. It is for the camera it self not the app. Although I wish they would fix some of the bugs in the app

      @@MichaelCleary on my drive to work today the camera wouldn't live steam to my phone. I also couldn't remote connect to it once I got to work. It's still showing in the app that the car is home. Smh I tried powering it off and back on still won't connect. I guess the update didn't really fix much. I am going to put my owl cam back up I don't think you can rely on this dash cam. Since there's not removable SD card and the apps so iffy how can you be sure you will be able to pull footage off the camera after a incident.

    Sub #155. Just got mine installed in the car, I am very frustrated. Can't pull the SD card without a specialty screw driver, cant use the SD card on the PC as it doesnt register the format, they really force you to utilize wireless uploading which is brutally slow. A 22 minute 4K video is 1 hour 55 minutes to upload. Thats just footage from ONE of the two cameras on this unit...

    Everyone saying it sucks, any suggestions for something better? I don't need a screen on the camera, or even access to live feed when I'm away.
    I have a Tesla with dashcams already, I just want a better quality front view, and the option to record my interior.

    The product SUCKED. 500 dollars for the LTE and cabin, essentially a luxurious paperweight. One guy resolves one issue regarding constant power but then it still wouldnt connect to the LTE i contacted them again and i was like “yknow what? Is there anyway i can get a refund for this product? This is ridiculous” lo and behold within a few hours i got a response and chat closed that my return request was being processed. Update: got the return postage, gon pack it up and get my money back, cancel my subscription and buy possibly a vifo or whatever its called. Im definitely doing alot more research buying a dash cam now, ill update on a cam i buy if i dont forget. This was a HUGE TOTAL letdown, total disappointment, dont even bother with the app, its hot garbage too. Lesson: dont buy ANYTHING brand new to exist weather its cars, dashcams or house products until theyre proven.

    Nexar sucks. I took notes from owning a beam when it failed at capturing me getting rear ended. Saw this ad n called total bs.. the only good thing about Nexar is the frame rate & parking mode. Frame rate shows actual speed of everything when going faster, & parking mode will capture the entire incident instead of loading up like other dash cams have to when unwired.
