everything is kept very neat, whoever lived here took pride in their things. love all the vintage furniture and light fixtures. Very nice condition I hope no one vandalizes this place. It is very, very nice!
Wow! What a crazy place! Just filled with antiques! I just can’t believe that there are no family members to claim any of it! So much money in the furniture alone! The craftsmanship of this place too with the trim and ceilings! Thank you the great explore!
Based off my findings on this video. This house has WiFi and a home phone system using cat 4 Ethernet. Based off the Linksys router, printer, and security system is dated from 2005-2012. While the water heater and furnace appears to be recently installed within the last 3-5 years. The cabinet featured in the kitchen has boxes of medicine and other amenities that appear to be recently purchased. I don't believe this house is abandoned. If anything it's a house someone owns but doesn't visit very often. There is very little dust or cobwebs, and it's very clean and well maintained.
In the basement of the main house with the coal storage room had a coal fired boiler. The two copper tanks are fire extinguishers. They split` because they were filled with water and froze when there was no more heat in the building.
What's even more crazy is that battery operated new age clock hanging in the kitchen that was STILL working!!! One hell of a Energizer battery I'd say, lol!!! It keeps going and going and going. I don't think this one was a abandoned at all.
I enjoyed the walk through. I would love to do these types of walk throughs. I supposed the last person either died or went to live in a nursing home. The grass isn't that high. I believe someone is at least maintaining the outside. Beautiful furniture. Maybe the family is debating over the property. Yes, the family needs to do something with the properties before they really begin to fall in disrepair.😊
That shower is called a Ribcage shower. Absolutely amazing and worth at least $18,000. The water administration was called needling which was considered therapeutic hydrotherapy. Only aristocratic families or places like health clubs etc had them.
🤣😂 You guys crack me up! Your youth is very charming. @25:18, that's a portable (not built in) dishwasher from the late 60's or early 70's. @27:00 that is a pile of coal (if you'd looked closely you should have seen something that looked like a metal doggie door, called a shoot, which was used as a way to deliver the coal from a truck outside the home into the basement. Coal was used to fuel homes with heat at the time this home was built. The old cast iron stove in the basement is what delivered the heat upstairs. Which was very common and normal in the 1920s-40s and in some locations even into the 50's. That big thing against the wall @27:52 is an oil tank. Which would also have been used for fuel to heat the home probably the replacement for the iron, coal burning furnace. @28:20 those are fire extinguishers who's contents were under pressure to help it come out faster for emergencies, which by the way would have absolutely been essential to have handy considering the incredibly EXPLOSIVE nature of the previous 2 things I just told you about! 😆 One other interesting thing I noticed as an older person walking through with you, that this house doesn't even have 1 fireplace. I think the people who built the house wanted to show their wealth status. They were all "fancy" with their modern coal burning! I love your enthusiasm and appreciate your respectfulness. Enjoy and be safe!
This is a gorgeous find & barely any dust. They must have a family trust caretaker or something. The brass cannisters in the basement remind me of really old fire extinguishers, but maybe they're water filters? looking at the latest decor, appliances, phones & old fax machine, looks like someone passed in the 1980's. It looks like several generations of items from the 1930's to 1980's. Reminds me of an old Catskills Mountains vacation home.
Could it be their vacation house and they’re coming back? Maybe they just forgot to lock the door. Or maybe they just ran over to the 7-11. Won’t they be surprised when they come back and find the door barricaded.😅 Love you guys!❤
What a find!! Look boys, I know you’re new to this but didn’t you see those newspapers on the floor in the dining room?! It would have told you approximately when the house was abandoned. Someone was apparently refinishing the chairs. Please take notice. Look 👀 please. Thank you for being respectful. No way it’s totally abandoned btw. It made me sad 😢
It appears that the person passed away. It would be a fair assumption that there are multiple heirs to the property so I would imagine it's in probate.
I was thinking you should look at the food items/cans to check expiration dates to give an indication of time and Zillow for info on the house itself… odd that there weren’t any recent photo’s of people or calendars… with SO MANY complete bedroom sets it’s sort of hard to believe there are NO relatives …. But then the only somewhat modern appliance was the stove … no flat screen no microwave that I saw
@@hmm-zoolol There isn't a lot of dust either. And a few things that seem out of place for the house. The flowers on the table were clean. There was a water bottle on the floor. The Trader Joe's bag. The baby was confusing too. And for whatever reason, there was a Clinique skincare bottle of some sort mixed in with the bottles on the shelf in the bathroom.
My dear young man, do you know how extremely rare this house is ?? Explorers who have been at this for years never get to see the kinds of treasures you and your friend saw today. This house isn't "like a real-time" capsule...it IS a time capsule !! Everything you saw, everything you touched was from another time, another era. This family was very well-to-do, it shows itself in so many ways. The exquisite furnishings, glassware, china, paintings, and so much more. The tissue boxes upstairs, the bottles of things in the bathroom, small knickknacks...I cannot remember all of them !! The one thing that took my breath away was the shower in the bathroom. I have only seen these in very old homes that are museums open to the public. It was specifically designed so that the bather needn't move to get wet !!! All those tiny holes sprayed every part of the body !! I was in total shock to see it there. The old kitchen stove would not be moved, it could still be used in some way. The new one added so much more convenience, that's all. the things in the glass cabinet I assure were all well used. You are no doubt right, the small bath and bedroom were used by a servant and were attached right to the kitchen to start the morning ritual, of cooking breakfast for the family. Many times older homes are retrofitted with new windows to make it more efficient, but this one still had its originals. As most have already said it was coal that was used in the old coal furnace, beside it the newer more efficient one. Copper fire extinguishers, The green patina happens to copper as it gets older. my guess about the cottage ?? it was no doubt for the gardener. Whoever built this house was a true craftsman and you were blessed to see this masterpiece just by chance...unheard of !!!
Very beautiful place. If you can find a name of a person who lived there you can goggle there name in the obituaries of that town and find out if they passed away.
I wonder if there is a way to find out if the estate is in probate or available to purchase.. maybe items could be auctioned on your channel. Could be a way for you guys to make a bit of money should it be legal to do that.
I loved this so much!!!! Perfect explore seeing a place exactly how it was left. It doesn’t get better than this! My dream come true… seeing just how they left it. Thank you, as always, for being wonderful ❤
JUST wanted to step in a say SOME of US are INTERESTED in vintage finds like that MAGNIFICENT SHOWER I’ve NEVER seen one LIKE THAT ONE BEFORE it looked like it could be removed from its water pipes and be moved somewhere else in ONE PIECE .. it would be SO WONDERFUL if you guys would take the extra step and DO SOME RESEARCH and find out WHERE ANY of the relatives ARE so at the very least an ESTATE SALE could take place ( BY THEM ) it is SO GRATIFYING when these explores are done and a member for the family finds it on one of these channels and comes back reopens the property…. I’ve only seen that happen a couple times in all the years I’ve been watching …. Ideally a place like DuMouchelles antique auction house could be where the family could consider… if they felt the need to properly unload these fine furnishings hopefully sooner than later b4 the wrong people with bad intentions get their grimy hands on this property
The shower is called a Ribcage shower. The water application style was called needling which was considered therapeutic. I did some research and it was interesting. Canopy baths were also a thing. Very expensive find.
You know, doing your due diligence by LEARNING ABOUT what we SEE and its place IN A BY-GONE ERA would CERTAINLY BE most GRATIFYING. Getting to know about HISTORY in ALL its FORMS is a WORTHY PURSUIT !! NEEDLESS TO SAY, these fine YOUNG MEN are making the MOST of the time they have TO EXPLORE AND LEARN ONE STEP at a time, that IS WHAT COMES FIRST. Give them some time, and they will get it done. Exploring and learning is a lifelong process. Do YOU know EVERYTHING...go ahead, I'll wait...
Love the furniture! Takes me back to my German great grandmother and grandmothers furniture in her house. You will never find the wood craftsmenship again. Also new housing doesn't use wallpaper on houses now. On many of those old wood pieces you had to pull open the top drawer in order to open the bottom ones. Almost like a locking mechanism. Probably German immigrant family. I hope no one else finds and destroys that house and its finds.
What's even more crazy is that battery operated new age clock hanging in the kitchen that was STILL working!!! One hell of a Energizer battery I'd say, lol!!! It keeps going and going and going. I don't think this one was a abandoned at all.
There's not a lot of dust which is strange. The baby doesn't make sense because, clearly, this house belonged to an older person.. And in with all the old medicine bottles (or whatever that stuff is), there is a Clinique bottle of some kind. lol The almost brand new looking flowers on the tables. The water bottle on the floor by the chairs. And the Trader Joe's bag. Very interesting.
Yes we are interested in that shower 🚿 really wish you would of showed the name on that organ, it's not a piano 🎹. And quit saying you really don't want to see this or hear that. Just do your photo documenting and let the viewer decide what is important. Your doing a disservice to your videos when you don't educate yourself in American culture of history. Not trying to be mean just saying.
Also please be respectful of the antique furniture. I noticed several times where the cameraman would open and shut doors with his shoes. I also agree with the educating yourself in the history and culture. Clearly you are showing your ignorance with a lot of your comments while taping your video.
Awesome find, but only wish you would edit your naive comment's made at the time later. Hate saying this but you are both young and inexperienced with finds, that your voice over is so annoying.
Heartbreakingly beautiful..You guys are so respectful..Never lose that and your wonder ♥
I would say uninhabited, not abandoned. It belongs to someone.
everything is kept very neat, whoever lived here took pride in their things. love all the vintage furniture and light fixtures. Very nice condition I hope no one vandalizes this place. It is very, very nice!

Perfect place for tea and crumpets 🎉❤😊😍🥰😇😊☺️🥸🥳🤠🧐🤓😎
Just wanted to say that I didn't hear you mention the leather wallpaper upstairs and down the stairway. That's another sign of extreme money.
That shower is called a Ribcage shower. Absolutely amazing and worth at least $18,000. The water administration was called needling which was considered therapeutic hydrotherapy. Only aristocratic families or places like health clubs etc had them.

Awesome beauty. Thank you for sharing with us. I hope you have a blessed day
This was so beautiful I hope y’all drew the drapes and locked the doors to preserve it. Thank you for sharing
Cool place I’m sure there is some money or old coins around there somewhere
Probably a guest house off the side where you are on the balcony. You have a wonderful gift to see these. I so want to be a fly on the wall
There's good money in the furniture alone

Other family members may have taken the pictures. Notice the grass isn't that high because someone is cutting the grass.

Money can expire or not? 🤔 Just curious. 😏😆

I wouldn’t show the outside, that way people can’t find it!
There's no way that house is abandoned. It looks staged to me.
I hope and pray no-one ruins that place, I hope ya'all call a historical sociality 🤷♀️
I bet that was pure coke, as you could see the little snorting spoon laying in it., you should've tasted it, lol
Probably sugar for their drinks.😊
