Unlike so many collections that have had endless sheer outfits the past couple of seasons, Versace kept it about real wearable clothes. No one is going to walk into a business meeting half naked and Donatella knows it. Every outfit in this collection is wearable whether you're going out to dinner, work or a formal event. Class, that's what Versace is.

When it comes to VERSACE....this is a triumph. Considering her buzziest collection of recent memory was a blatant recycling of her brother's legacy, this is another step toward an evolution. Every collection since, she's strengthened her personal brand. That's the thing Versace has going for it....a very, very, distinct brand signature. She's really adept at knowing what her customer wants and why they're buying her products. She understands more than most, that she's not just selling fashion, she's selling the promise of a lifestyle. The fantasy of the supermodel, jetset experience. That's why Gigi opened the show. That's why they're in Los Angeles. Donatella has seemingly no higher artistic calling, no vague pastiche, no deep cut historical inspirations....she wants women to look and feel rich and powerful. That's it. It's a noble calling considering so few actually feel comfortable admitting that. She really sits at the top of that pile. She's a commercial luxury fashion designer, and she's extremely adept at what she does. This feels like a sort of culmination, but I feel like this is just the beginning.

It was really hard to see many of the clothes due to the poor lighting. And LOL at Gigi and kenDULL opening and closing the show when literally you had Iman, Liu Wen, Abbey Lee, and Naomi to choose from instead of booking them as fillers.
EDIT: I am reading a lot of comments saying that i should only focus on the clothes and ignore the models. Yes, the clothes are very important and so are the models showcasing them since most of you seem to ignore the fact that hair and makeup are also a part of the collection. The poor lighting of the show failed to show the details of the clothes, hair, and makeup, especially on black models.
Oh c'mon, can you stop criticize the models? It's a FASHION SHOW, you should appreciate the collection/the outfits

Yes, but they give a bad focused image on Anok. Seem to do this to certain models. Just snippets of unfocused images, whilst zooming in on certain ones, of the models they prefer. Don't know who authorises this type of thing in the fashion industry. Perhaps the camera people do this deliberately. Or it's a thing the industry agrees to do. Thinking it won't be noticed. They're a weird vain bunch, this industry. Still hold perceived ideas of what they consider is more beautiful to focus on.
