It just amazes me the amount of calculations that have to go into figuring out in advance where to place those footings for the supports! Considering the track is pre-built offsite and then hoisted in place; they have to be 100% accurate! And let alone on the side of a hill and not on a flat surface!! GOOD NIGHT! :-P
Don't forget some of the old footings that needed to be removed from the hillside. There were the ones that held up the Universal City sign and i believe they had decks back there many years ago that went out over the hillside a bit, way before the escalators if I remember correctly.
True. But there used to be a retaining wall there with land much higher behind it. The placement of those bagged footings look too low to have been there prior to construction. I gotta go look back at previous updates.
You're welcome! Thanks for watching! Yeah, 2026 feels like a long time. But the ride will be more than just a basic coaster. Once trackwork is done, theming and the show building/station will take some time to complete. It's gonna be something else! Can't wait for Universal to release more details!
You always amaze us with all the new views you show us, compared to other Vlogesr, (no hard feelings towards those other Vlogers, but they always show us the same thing over and over again). You deserve an Oscar, the category: *Best Coaster Construction Views.* BTW I have a feeling we may see new track installed next week, maybe on the supports we have been seeing. It still amazes me how the coaster will be going up and over the Starway. That will be really fun see once they start installing those pieces.
Thanks! I appreciate that! Yeah, I'm always trying to keep things fresh. Especially when there isn't too much new stuff to look at aside from the new track and supports. There are other views I have in mind. But I'll hit up those once things start going up more. I hope more track goes up next week! And that I catch it when I visit!
I believe those small covered pillars will be stability supports for the primary rail support structure. Those pillars wont only support tracks but probably also the giant tube that goes over the escalators.
You know, when editing, I was wondering about that too. But then remembered that they still haven't started on the footings higher up the slope in the location where the track goes under the escalators.
I may be very wrong with this speculation, I don't mind being wrong with this, going by the the 2 tracks at the station, will this c[aster be a dealing coaste?

Yeah, it absolutely blows my mind what they are able to accomplish!
This coaster is definitely an engineering feat, with the complex terrain and the complex train controlled spin system
Thanks for another detailed construction update.
You're welcome! They've been fun to make! (Even though I stress out about the quality of footage and edits).

LETS GOOOOOO, we are getting closer to seeing actual elements take shape! The station/maintenance area is looking great though 💯
Thanks for another great video! I can't believe with so much progress that this ride is expected to open in 2026 (1.5 years away)?

Great video! I loved all these cool shots!
Thanks a ton!
#Fast and Furious RollerCoaster Constructon Update #5 for Universal Studios Hollywood in 2026 ❤️
#5?
I'm here now! HI DRIFTYYY!

That's a thought! But what I can't figure out is why the rebar at the top was all mangled (as seen in the previous vlog).
@@AmericasCoasterNetwork actually those nasty pillars where I think from the sign they had before. Does explain why the pillars looks like old design.
Here before GRLPowerCoasters
Same??
@@1ronEntertainment Yes

I’m kinda thinking the track won’t go under the escalator anymore because wouldn’t there be at least 2 or 3 supports under the escalator?
You know, when editing, I was wondering about that too. But then remembered that they still haven't started on the footings higher up the slope in the location where the track goes under the escalators.
You always find the most random view points🤣
A good random, I hope!

The two tracks are for faster loading. The ride will be one track.
