I tried this popular cafe in South (They have Homer’s donut!)😋🍩

I was invited by my friends and co EXO-Ls to this cafe located at Molito Lifestyle Center- Alabang, called “Bungalow Cafe & bakery”.
Bungalow Cafe is known for their donuts and croissants. Tbh, I’m not really a fan of donuts. However, I’ve seen reviews that swear by these donuts. Also, I’ve been informed that these donuts sell out very fast (it must be that good, right?), which got me oh so curious. Lol!
We went there around 11 am and there’s already a (good 10-minute) line and tables inside are fully occupied.
I ordered some of their best sellers.
- Homer donut (90 php)
- Auro glazed donut (90 php)
- Old fashioned sugar coated donut (70 php)
- Chocolate chip cookie (110 php)
- Butter croissant (100)
- Spanish bread
The donuts are very dense and thick. I personally can’t finish a piece. I think 1/4 of this donut is equivalent to a whole donut in JCO or Krispy Kreme. It’s THAT thick.
The Homer donut smells wonderful. It’s like being inside a candy shop. Some say it’s like strawberry but I beg to differ. It tastes like Tom’s Farm Starlight Pangpang almonds, just a tad bit sweeter.
On the other hand, Auro glazed donut tastes like the chocolate filling from Meiji Hello Panda biscuits.
Next, the Chocolate chip cookie is very chewy but too sweet for my liking.
The Spanish bread is just okay.
Lastly, the butter croissant would have to be my favorite our of all the pastries I’ve ordered. It’s flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. Buttery- just how I like it.
Overall, the pastries are just o-kay. Maybe they are just too sweet and oily for my liking.
If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll definitely love it!
