Hery! Love the space! For those who are wondering, it's frog tape that she used (not masking tape) Frog tape is wonderful and way better than the blue painters tape. It's seamless! Also use a damp paper towel and wet the tape before you start painting, it helps the paint not get through the paint.
Nice! Adding that warmth really makes it feel more lux and less blingy.
Tip for drilling, fold a piece of paper into an wee envelope shape (or just use an envelope) and stick it to the wall under where you're drilling to catch the dust. Your room looks gorgeous!

the paint pad is an 'edger' it's meant to cut around the edges so you can then roll in the middle
You’re also meant to be able to paint the entire room with them not just for edges. I think I may have gotten a cheap one though so it wasn’t very good!
I tried one and hated it, just bought an angled paint brush meant for edging and it gives a good result, then a roller. Always do the edges first.

Fab video the room transformation was amazing. I lived the way you used masking tape along the walls to level your paint line. I normally do it along the floor when painting the skirting boards but I'll try your idea next time I paint 💡

Lovely job! I would have spray painted the curtain rod & brackets black (save some $). My dad taught me a tip for plugging holes: stuff them with paper and then you don't have to use as much polyfilla.

Hey! Dropping by to say that I have a similar bed to yours and I also hated the glam glitzy feeling that it gave me - and I couldn’t afford to get a new soho bed frame lol - so I just took out the metal tags! It was just a strip and the holes from it hid in the fabric - no one can tell that it had those thumb tacks in there! Give it a go I’m so happy with my decision :)

Sorry, but I'm glad you replaced the mirror. It seems like you do like a little glam with the mirror tables but it's not over done, again, a pretty room and done with mostly what you had. We should all try to do more of that, I think. We buy too much usually.

It turned out much nicer. Your right sometimes glam can be to much to the point that it looks tacky and cheap but you got the balance right. Very beautiful. I love the knitted throw. Did you purchase or make it? Wish I could put up curtain poles myself. Maybe do a lesson on how to use a drill, nails and stuff to buy, measuring up etc especially for us ladies that have lazy husbands who keep saying tomorrow I'll do that.

I've never had to do more then 2 coats of farrow paint, even when going light over dark

you mentioned you might tear down the wallpaper next time - i think the pattern is rly nice (but i know what u mean about being shiny/glitzy) so have you considered painting over it? reckon it would be a really nice subtle detail under a pale natural colour!

The slower drying filler allows you to fill deeper than the quick dry :)

You were "lucky" that the masking tape worked for you, because it really is NOT meant to be used for painting projects, period. As I'm viewing this more than 1.5 years after you filmed it, I'm sure other viewers told you that a paint pad is meant to be used along ceiling lines, along baseboards, and in corners. It is not meant to be used to paint an entire wall. The mirror with the ugly lightbulbs sticking out, hmmmm. I'm very glad you took it down and put up the beautiful round mirror, it's just so much more suitable for the space, and soothing while providing a nice contrast between the wood finish and the more "glam" finishes on the night stands, for instance (which I think are great, just the right touch of mirrow to bounce around light and they give you lots of storage too). If you're not afraid of what your skin looks like in a well lit magnifying mirror, you can get a small one to use. At my age (70), believe me when I tell you I'd rather go with my rather dim eyesight to put on makeup trying to see myself in the mirror above the bathroom sink on the rare occasions these days that I actually wear it, LOL!

I believe that paint pad is supposed to just be used to cut in--not cover the entire wall.
Hi Shade. Is it safe to put shelves above the bed? What do you do about storage as the room doesn't have a wardrobe?
I'd be inclined to say only if the shelf is super secure and the things on the shelf aren't heavy/won't cause damage if they fall. Never above a child's bed! This room was a visitor's room so we didn't really need the extra storage for clothes and we don't have the option anyway as the room is so small. Under the bed has storage though 😀 x

Hey! Can i ask - when you say to remove the tape when the paint is still slightly wet, would it be ok to put your first coat down and let it dry and then a second coat and remove the tape following this or would it still chip away as the first coat has dried? Hope this makes sense! Thank you x
I know exactly what you mean hun! I've always wondered this too but not actually ever tried it. I assume it would chip as the paint underneath is already dry but I have seen some people do exactly that and it's fine! Worth trying on a little spot maybe? xx
