Prettttty sure the verses go to C instead of G for the second chord in the sequence. And pausing then muting the D for the second strum measure before going TO that C gives a nice touch, both for the guitar accompaniment and for letting the vocals pop for just a bit.

Ohhh believe me, just a "peanut gallery" blurt-out... trust me, I am no guitarist and have no discernible musical talent. I took 2 or 3 free lessons at college and have putzed around ever since. This just happened to be one of the songs I can putz around WITH (I even did manage to figure it out on my own 😯), and I double-checked with a few other lesson videos to confirm my assumptions.

I think you are leaving out a C chord. Try playing a C maj over "The LOVELINESS " of loving you and "WONDER OF" this feeling
