Sometimes separating your curls while you have acrylic nails can make your hair frizzy well I find this happens to me personally every time I get my nails done and I separate my curls it tends to get frizzy but styles like this are definitely better on stretched hair
You mentioned the tight coil at the root. I noticed while you were twisting the knots that you kind of left it loose near the roots. When I do them, I START by tightly twirling at the root, against the head. Since you avoided that as a first step to begin building the knot, the hair closest to your scalp was free to fuzz up into a (tight) little fro. 💙
I appreciate your transparency! I used to get to discouraged always seeing people’s success stories with styling lol. It took me years to learn to properly detangle my hair. Thanks girl! We live and we learn 💕✨
Honestly I always do my Bantu knots on wet soaking, drenching wet hair. Because I love thick products, have medium porosity and have a tighter curl pattern it works best for me. I also, always do a 2 strand twist before I wrap it into a knot. It allows me to get rid of excess products and defines the curl more. Of course I wait the 3 days for it to dry, but it always comes out super defined and beautiful. I suggest trying it again, with the 2 or 3 strand twist. Then wrapping it up and waiting on it to dry. Most times when I did use a bobby pin to set it my hair came out frizzy. So the wetter my hair was, it was able to bind and be tucked without pins and I never saw frizz again.
I agree with you, it was a fail, but I was shocked just like you because before separating them they looked good, I was surprised it didn’t turn out perfect but thank goodness for ponytails, they always save styles and look cute except when your hair isn’t long enough and then you’re just screwed lol
my wet bantu knots come out great when i twist the hair first then do the bantu knot. i think it probably helps to stretch the hair maybe or easier separation idk😭 but i twist the section then wrap the knot if that makes sense ❤️
I liked it. I feel like it would have gotten bigger over the next couple days!!! It was a little frizzy like you said but that could have been products.
I just bought these products the other day 😊 I wish my curls looked this good after a Bantu knot out I swear your curls are always popping. My Bantu knot outs really be looking like a fail lol
And the puff saves the day!😂 I really liked when you pinned some of your hair to the side. I'd take my curls looking the way yours did then any day hun
Last time I did a bantu knot out I 2 strand twisted the section then wrapped it into the bantu knot. It seemed to work fine, I might actually try one again soon its been a while.
I would say try twisting it closer to the roots but not too tight or you’ll get a headache I know from experience 🤦🏽♀️ & I also two strand twist mines ; but yours came out cute 💛💛
Stil trying to perfect mine. From what I seen you do before this is a fail but still very pretty. Ya face can make any style gorgeous. Xoxo all the way from philly
People must have never seen or paid attention how your hair usually comes out..I see comments like this is a Fail! It looks fine but I get hair ing your own personal standard set and not reaching it..like when I say my hair used to be long and wo.en say well it looks long to me..I'm like here is a old pic ..then they are like OH! Lol you still rocked it it was Pretty💙💚💜🖤
I'm wondering why you didn't use a gel or other product when you twisted out the knots? That would have reduced the frizz and maybe helped with the way they looked. Manipulating curls always dries them out, so you should have had some kind of moisturizer on your hands when you were separating the curls IMO.
Even though you feel like it was a fail... I love it!!! So bomb to me!!! I used to always do Bantu knot outs when I was relaxed.. too scared to try them now that I’m natural....
Hey love! The look isn’t bad! 😍♥️ still looks good tho.. Would you mind checking out my video? I’m new to TH-cam.. if you have any pointers for me let me know! Thanks love
Failed bantu knot out 😩 Lol, I will just stick to doing these on dry hair because this was upsetting 😭
ughh your face was like 'dammm ,did i really waste all this time for this' lol. but ur puff was super cute tho!
Maybe for it being wet a two strand bantu will come out better?🤷🏿♀️
If this is a fail, then what are my Bantu knot outs???? 😂😂😂
😂😭😭
RIGHTTT! I looked at the thumbnail and then the title and was like “tf is she talking about lmaoo”
My hair dresser did my Bantu knots on blow dried hair , she used a hair pudding, setting lotion and eco styler gel it lasted 2 weeks and was pretty.

Thanks girl but its not my nails lol trust me I had acrylics for forever and always get good results. Idk where I went wrong honestly 😬😬

Lol failed bantu knots however high puff cute.
I NEVER do Bantu knots lol but this makes me want to try it out. It was really cute when you pulled it to the side though!!!
I honestly felt you looked fine 🤷🏾♀️. Now I just knotted mine. I’ll let you see a true disaster when I take it down 😂
The second way you styled your hair, hanging down looked good.
If this is a failed Bantu knot than my hair looks like who did it and why whenever I try to do one
😄

It was actually pretty 😍

Right lol puffs always save the day 😭
Girl when my hair turns out like that, I be thinking I’m doing something but this was a fail😂😂. Still looked good!

I so feel you. I’m used to a certain type of definition & results & if it doesn’t come out looking like that.. it is a fail lol
lol I felt this. My hair is the same texture as yours a Bantu knots are always so tricky😩 I stick to braid outs and high puffs
Literally only done this style like 5 times since being natural lol
I liked it. I feel like it would have gotten bigger over the next couple days!!! It was a little frizzy like you said but that could have been products.

I need my failed hairstyles to look this good. lol

I did it that way before and it came out nice but it looked like a perm rod set
Ohhhh ok gotcha. It doesn't matter tho literally anything looks good on you lol ❤️
Love the back to back post 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Just something else to master, you'll get it
I would say try twisting it closer to the roots but not too tight or you’ll get a headache I know from experience 🤦🏽♀️ & I also two strand twist mines ; but yours came out cute 💛💛
K Moneque yes I think that would have helped but i did not want tight knots lol
it still had some nice definition!
I like it 😍
Stil trying to perfect mine. From what I seen you do before this is a fail but still very pretty. Ya face can make any style gorgeous. Xoxo all the way from philly
Yours is cute I just did a bantu knot out right now and mine is horrible!!
It’s cute! You even could’ve done like a small bun in the front on top and left the back out 💁🏽♀️
I thought it was cute. I like your hair pulled up as well 😊
at least it made the high puff cute!
... I like your ambition, you're so focused
😘😘😘

L z yes!!! Lol someone gets it 😭 like i have a standard with my hair and this was just disappointing
It was a fail but your pony tail came out cute!! 😁
maybe you should do 2 strand twist it before you wrap into the knot (if you understand what I’m saying) . Just a suggestion!
I’ve done it before and it gives me a rod set look more than bantu knot out curls ❤️
my Bantu knots always come out like that as well, but i still think it looks nice
Still gorgeous 😍😍
Hey gorgeous 😍 I love Bantu knots 😍😍😍😍😍😍
i liked it
Literally just happened to me! It was still wet! Would've been 🔥 too! Pulled it back with a side part and put some hoops on. 😂
I still can’t do Bantu knots properly lol. I like the Maui Vanilla bean line. I’ll have to check out the coconut line.
Literally a hit or miss for me lol

I did have an oil on my hands when separating, I just didn’t state it in the video. Also I never use gel on any of my styles besides wash and gos.
Retry it girl 😍💕
Girl this happened to me ....never again am I trying this 😂😂😂
This is how mine always comes out 😩🤣
Even though you feel like it was a fail... I love it!!! So bomb to me!!! I used to always do Bantu knot outs when I was relaxed.. too scared to try them now that I’m natural....
Look at curly proverbs review on this product line!
K ❤️
Mine always comes out like that 😒
I didn't like it whenbyou first separated, but pulled to the side, and fluffed looked good to me...

I wish I could fail like this

Trying to find the fail
Mines comes out like this alllllllllll the time when i do my natural hair
Who was here before 250 views ??
The shape of your hair was off and your hair was sticking out weirdly but the curls were nice and a half up half down would have been cute too
ik this isn't related at all lol but where did you get your top?
Honeybum. Its a 2 piece set 😘😘😘 watch my honeybum haul i have the link there
Hazel Goddesss thank you!!
It does look like it wasnt dry all the way. It's still cute but I understand what you mean

@@HazelGoddesss could have been the curl milk and smoothie that's the only thing else I can think of
Yup i think so too
😍😍😍
How is that failed that’s pretty smh
I didn’t like it. I typically always get very defined results so this wasn’t up to standard lol
Who hating ass gave her a thumbs down???🙄
I thought it was alright, just wasn’t as big if defined as I thought it would be lol
Right lol
I suck at bantu knots they never come out right!!
Your failed Bantu knot out is no way near as mine was 😭😭
Girl a fail😑😑😑 If my hair looked half that good kmt😥😥
I will never do a Bantu knot I did one once and I knew it wasn't meant to be

That was not a fail. It just was not to your liking.
A fail in my eyes
