    The way he speaks make you feel like you have that supportive buddy and takes away many fears at the moment you’ve realized wanted to make music.
    You sir, are amazing. Thank you for giving that feeling with your vids!

    You are a great teacher. I was afraid of Ableton until I came across your channel and believe me I tried many other TH-cam channels. The comparison to Excel was superb in one of your later videos. . I finally got it. Thank you so much and keep it up your good work.

    Great job, John. One suggestion: could you make your cursor larger ? Some of the instruction was quick and difficult to see what you were putting the cursor on, I slowed down the video and got about 90 % of it that way. I've watched a few videos on Ableton, so far yours is the easiest to understand. Thank you.

    John ! your nearly there mate. 9.5 out of 10 . As a beginner/ intermediate Ableton user, PLEASE don't fall into the trendy music producer jargon crap that throws us mere mortals when we are just grasping the concept of your videos. Not all of has had a uni education and not all of us think Apple has a worthy reputation anymore. Your potentially going to be a stand out and decent educator that doesn't talk shit.

    • @TheAudioJourney
      @TheAudioJourney  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Ktrak, really appreciate you taking the time to leave this feedback. I really do aim to keep al jargon out of my videos, and explain anything that I need to talk about. Where did you feel like I used jargon and didn't explain it?

    Great series, just what I needed. I'm playing a Fender guitar and I use Ableton to recording my practices and also to load mp3 files, looping portions, playing as a backing track, etc. So Ableton became a very handy tool for me.

    Hi I am really enjoying your Ableton Live for beginners. You
    explain the Buzz words thoroughly and that makes a massive difference. Some videos
    talk in riddles. When the buzz words are not thoroughly explained in terms that
    everyone can understand I get overwhelmed.
    One problem I have a free unlicensed Ableton Live 9
    But the Instruments do not have an Analog synthesiser?

    Hi I would like to start off by saying I just recently found your page and I find your videos very helpful! I am a singer/songwriter who is interested in learning how to produce music. I am definitely beginner and have a hard time trying to figure out exactly which software I should be using, for the kind of music I want to make. I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! S/N I want to make music like Mariah Carey, Sam Smith, Adele. So basically pop and R&B

    7:49 "Drag and drop an audio file onto an audio track" I saw on your other video that I can drop in a WAV file? Q. So, my question is, does Ableton know how to setup the bars after dropping it in? I mean, how will Ableton know when bar 2 starts? And will Ableton know the tempo is 4/4 and not 3/4 say? Or do people set this up manually after dropping the file in? I have only Ableton LIVE 10 LITE but I think you must have the Suite version as you have the synth "Analog" under Instruments which I don't have.

    When I drag a .adg file onto a MIDI track the title goes into the header of the track and then when I click on a round button of the track the title of the clip shows in the clip slot and the arrow turns red, the clock runs but there is no sound. I can hear the preview so I know the Audio Out is set up. I'm doing ok with the .alc and .aif files in audio tracks. Why don't the .adg files play?

    • @TheAudioJourney
      @TheAudioJourney  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question, Tom. Once you've dragged the .adg file on to a MIDI track, and you can see the round 'Record' buttons in all of the empty clip slots, you'll need to double click on an empty clip slot to make a MIDI clip.
      Then, insert MIDI notes on the piano roll by double clicking, or using the pencil tool (press 'B').
      You'll then hear the notes when you play that clip. Let em know if you're still struggling and I'll explain further.
