you can use "science" to manipulate others too. Spreading misinformation or half facts to fit their narrative. I believe this is same case. They are just exploiting people's believe. Religion is believe system of faith and worship. That doesn't mean you ignore reality. You can both be religious and trust science. It's not one over the other.

This is why still most people believe everything that's related to religion no matter how superstitious it is. The prime example is, In recent months those who teaches Bhagavad Gita (a book that prioritize peace) are telling people to raise swords and be ready for mass movement. This is manipulation, wrong use of religion which I'm strictly against of.
