Thank you my sister!!! My moms friend had brain surgery and can not wear elastic, and is self conscious about the scar this will be perfect and comfortable for her to not use elastic!! You’re a blessing !! May God be with you always and blast you with many blessings
Thank you! I wanted to make some fancy chemo caps for my mom.(fighting 2 cancers!) and matching mask..with coordinating earrings ! Thank you and God Bless you !
I just made one with a silk outer and satin interior because I like to make my life difficult. Lol. Came out great though. I wanna make another in Ankara so I can Topstitch and try to use a wider band. Thanks for the great design. Reminded me of an actual historical bonnet when I finished mine.
Me too! I made one out of lavender colored mulberry silk, and it is absolutely beautiful. Because I did not have any satin that was comparable to the quality of the silk, I reluctantly made both sides from the silk. It was made for my grand daughter, who is off to her first year of college. And, it was only because I truly love her, that I was able to part with the finished product! :-) Please share what quality of satin you used and where did you purchase it? Thanks much!
Thank you for the great easy to follow video. I make these for young girls with pretty fabric on the outside & satin on the inside. They do stay on….even for 2 year olds!
I have been making scrub caps for a hospital in Detroit & some of the staff need this style to cover their longer hair. The cut-out in the back is a great idea, there is a shortage of elastic here & that solves my elastic problem, thanks. Wish I could send you pictures of my work, don't know how to do that. I gladly give mine away to our hospital heros.
FYI regarding the elastic, I encountered the same problem, so I ordered from Amazon. I got a full spool 18 yds for less than 18.00 including shipping. Hope this will help you. Happy sewing
Thank you! Great tutorial and it came out so cute! I used silk for the outside and satin for the band so that it wouldn’t pull my fine hair. Good idea in theory but now it keeps sliding off! I will keep playing with it because I really love the look!
Oh my goodness, this is the most simple video to make this type of bonnet I have seen yet.!! Thank you 😊 I definitely appreciate how you did the pleating. On other videos I could not figure out how they knew exactly how much to pleat. They would just grab and fold lol
So true. This is AWESOME to be used dressed up also. There's lots of potential for creativity in this here simple Bonnet. Thank you lots for sharing. 🥰
Thank you so much for such an easy but detailed video. I have been considering headbands and such. Clips and combs hurt my head and my hair is long. This is a great solution.
This is such a good explanation, can't wait to sew my own! I've been wanting to purchase a bonnet but I live in The Czech Republic and nice bonnets seem to be impossible to find here. Thank you! :)
Hello my Sister.. this is a beautiful idea and different.. this can be a head dressing to wear any where... Blessings to you all the way from Arlington, Tx!! Stay safe and Blessed!
