      Thank you! I built this boat 7 years ago. I´m still happy with it, but has improved the quality over the years. thanks, Lars

      Thank you! It was filmed during winter here in Sweden. About as much light there was that day. I still have the boat. Sitting in the back room. Thanks, Lars

      Thank you! I'm currently building sheet systems for four 12mR's in scale 1:10, and hope to have 3 or 4 ready to sail later this spring.

      Thanks Harvey, I know. usually you can ice skate where we sailed yesterday. Looks like the "warm" weather is here for the next 10 days too.

      I also sail model boats, you can tell when one is well made just by looking at it. Yours was done very nice, you should be proud of your workmanship.

    Lars how much do need to make a wing keel for a 20 inch boat?

    • @LarsLindqvist
      @LarsLindqvist  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry for late reply. Do you mean a finished keel in lead? I don't usually take on projects, since I have enough of my own. Don't you think you can make it yourself?

    Is your Boat model after a J Class SAILBOATS....

    • @LarsLindqvist
      @LarsLindqvist  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, this is a model of US26 Courageous, a 12 metre that won the America's Cup 1974 and 77.

    She’s moving awfully slow for how much sail she has and how much wind there is, I wonder why that is. High skin area? Maybe insufficient righting moment?

    • @LarsLindqvist
      @LarsLindqvist  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a 12 metre boat. It was a bit too windy at times for all the canvas I had hoisted.

      Too close hauled.

    Lars do you still have the mold drawing?

    Just curious...how many channels do you need for this? 3? For jib, mainsail, and rudder?

    • @LarsLindqvist
      @LarsLindqvist  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I mostly only use 2 channels. I'm thinking of adding more functionality to my next build, but usually sheet in and out and steering the rudder is plenty good. Gives an easy to sail experience.

      It is a real yacht. Not large enough to carry people, but very real.
