Here in Bulgaria, many people abandon their dogs or cats on the streets, the animals are neglected and often mistreated. It is up to volunteers and organizations to help puppies, kittens and other animals, because government doesn't take any action.
This abandoned puppy needed our help and we will do our best to find a loving family for her.

We are Stoyan and Dessy from Bulgaria. We are not organization, neither a shelter, we are just an ordinary couple with a big dream. Everything we provide for the stray cats is coming from our own pockets or with the help of donations from our subscribers. We have 4 cats at home, all rescued from the streets - Sopolcho & Bagheera live with us while Alexa & Rijo live with Dessy's mom, who has been feeding and caring of stray animals for the last 10 years. Bulgaria is a small and poor country with lots of stray cats and not enough kind people to take them in. Our dream is to build a shelter where we could take care of many stray cats with the help of Dessy's mom. Dear gentlewoman lady, may there be more people like you, rescuing and adopting strays, who truly need loving homes... instead of buying and showing off their pedigrees!
You reminded me of the time I found a frightened lost female puppy trembling under a roadside teastall cart. I carried her in my bag on my scooter and never looked back! Another emaciated female puppy was taken into our house by my compassionate mom, who was a wonderful physician, and so it went on in our home...Renee, Sheena, Midnight, Bowie....
May God bless you abundantly...and may people follow your example and care for the weak, abandoned and neglected....its been 60 years...and our home has never been without a stray or two. Cats, injured baby squirrels..
we think we rescue them...but they teach us lessons in loving, caring, sharing, shouldering responsibility, commitment...and lot more.
When neighborhood kids brought Bow-wow, injured puppy, she grew into a lovely female doggie...gentle, friendly, but surprised us with her hunting skills! Not one squirrel or lizard would come down a tree or a mouse scurry in the backyard if she were around. One night Bow-wow killed a Cobra and did not let me go near it until it stopped moving. I cried for days afterwards.Though I never wanted her to, she put her life on the line. She lived 16 long years and though I've raised many dogs after that I miss her terribly. She and my dog Snowy were great friends. Wish I could share pics of Bowie with you here...but that technology isn't developed yet. God bless you.

This serves as a reminder that in a world were pups of many breeds sell for thousands of dollars, There is Life, love and joy to be shared with us in Dogs that are not popular with the mainstream because they are not muscular or esthetically pleasing, or expensive status symbols. This was heart warming. Remember friends all life is precious. This Dog only needed an opportunity to love and be loved. He showed his true nature, Have you....?
