Not only was she rescued.... but she finally got a sense of what it's like to have someone who actually cares for her. She also rescued him in the very end. Triple whammy. I don't think I've ever cried so hard watching a movie.
she was not just the one that got rescued. HE too was rescued and saved from loneliness and despair. if he hadn't hear that girl's voice, he would have died too.
Hands down one of the best movies I have ever seen. Won Bin is truly an amazing actor who can speak & act with his beautiful eyes. Even after all these years, in my humble opinion, no movie has topped the man from nowhere. I just wish he was in more movies like this.
I would have to say "I saw the devil" is equal to this. The emotions by the lead actor in that movie are just as powerful as Won Bins here. Both fantastic movies with such depth. Two of my favorites.
the moment he thought he lost the only thing he cared about, again. he put the gun against his head with no light in his eyes. than the little girl called him, his eyes slowly lighted up. that performance maked this film one of my favorites.
The dead look in his eye when he was about to bull the trigger was heart reaching Wonbin is honestly one amazing actor. Wish to see some new works from him, still waiting even after 7 years 💗
Earlier in this movie, he mentioned that he's beginning to forget how the little girl looks like and how he wished to take a picture of her. Even before killing himself, he's still trying to remember her but it was the girl's running away from him that flashes to his mind. Such a tragic moment. If that girl's calling him a few seconds later, he'd be dead and it's gonna be his more tragic. She really is his salvation and this scene is beautiful.
I cried at this scene but I cried even more at the ending scene when he asks her for permission to hug her, just once and just for that time. The gloomy Knight and the little princess are not lonely anymore.
The first time I watched this movie, my older brothers came home during this scene and they asked: "Wtf are you watching?" They didn't understand. This guy just killed half of Seoul trying to find this girl.

First time I watched this movie, I was simple glad because the girl is alive because the assassin saved her. Now I watched the scene again, having a family with a 4 years old daughter, I just want to hold her tight everytime I have a chance.
The fact that the girl said earlier on that she didn't want to hate the man because he was the only one she liked, and then they finally reunite. And then the last scene with the hug. I'm glad it was a wholesome ending, even if they had to separate.

I'm so glad that so far there is no dislike for such incredible & impressing scene. 2010 is a very nostalgic moment. I can only say that he is really manly & brave to play such dangerous movie.
