I know most people consider this episode to be the worst in the entire series (even John Sullivan agreed), but this scene proves that Only Fools and Horses at its worst is still leagues ahead of most other shows
Plus some of this scene is cut. This is the walterd down version with laughter track. I personally don't think it's a weak episode at all. In fact I think its one of the best!!
They even edited this scene 🙈🙈 after June says "he used to go out with my daughter" she says "she's wiv a Cypriot geezer now!" George Orwell 1984 'they erased everything'.
This episode was hilarious and they shouldn't of taken a lot of it out because they thought delboy was a bit mean! It's part of the laugh! I would love to see the original again without the cut out bits!!! Lol
The uncut version of a Royal Flush with no canned laughter, was definitely one of the very best episodes written and filmed, just for that very reason that Del Boy was portrayed as a complete and utter arse.
I believe the uncut version of this episode (which was originally a feature length with no laugh track) was one that was way ahead of it's time. This went to the more awkward and uncomfortable comedy which ended up becoming more popular in latter years. This was brilliant but I believe people weren't quite ready for this type of comedy back in the day.
I'm a huge fan of only fools and del boy is my favourite sit-com character but i agree this was the episode that annoyed me a little bit the way del interfered in Rodney's love life.
There is a reason why this episode turned out not as good as it could’ve been. Both David and Nick were ill in the buildup so they had to film most of the scenes in the evening. Also, John Sullivan was working on the last series of just good friends and had to film the episode in France, so was away for the final shoot of Royal flush, he says it’s one of his biggest regrets, especially the dinner scene with Del where he comes across as a nasty drunk
I dunno wat the issue was. This episode is amazing.

I think it's one of the best too 😂
It's not the worst but UK gold make it worse by cutting bits out this was the episode where I felt del spoilt it for Rodney
This is a great episode the original uncut version
Love this episode, tally ho there, Rodders!
Rest in peace June, aka Diane Langton rip 🙏
"Carmens a hairdryer'" 😂 love it!!
perfect way to show the difference between middle class and working class with that bit with the bell
Middle Class?! She's royalty!

Loads of this episode is missing on my dvd
I remember June's daughter Debbie, very fondly.

Wonderful 🤣🤣🤣
You dont see this episode often due to dels behaviour towards poor old rodders
Rest In Peace Junie
So very sad. I didn’t know she was in this.
@LizSizer This episode "A Royal Flush" and "Happy Returns" where Del believes he and June had a daughter Debbie who Rodney was currently dating.
"This is horrible"
- Damien Trotter
This is the one episode that seems they went way too far with DelBoy. Even DelBoy wouldn't have been that rude, during the opera.
I don't know about that, seems very in line with him. A classic example of Del screwing up the best of things
@@NeidalRuekkyeah, no restraint. I don't like del at all. Or indifferent at best

Well, when they came out originally, nothing at all was cut out. when BBC was not afraid being bombed by complaints for slurs or satire.
It wasn't too out of place seeing as how working class they were & how aspirational Del Boy was, so he was showing off & belittling Rodney like that.
@TJArthurson95 this is way before woke Lgbt. Early 90s repeats on Tv and couldn't show the original. Because Racist , slurs, etc. , stereotypes.
Same as usual then
@@MangoOdinbefore, when people used to take the Mickey Mouse, and have a laugh. Now everybody feels too much

Del was always interfering in Rodney's life though! 😂
This episode is a massive rare DelBoy L, should of left Rodney alone instead of interfering

Del is used to being a nasty drunk
He's always been a little drunk 😅
this episode should of never been cut, its been made a mess of with the editing
You😂 are talking bojaxks - speak for your WOKE self❤😅😂
Del did suffer a true bout of short man syndrome in this episode.
june is hot here
She's in hollyioakes now!!
Usual pc crap this episode is hillarious with out the editing it makes no sense
😂😂😂😂😂😂
