I am surprised there are still warthogs left. Did you see just how oblivious that hog was to danger. It walks around in broad daylight - every preditor can smell, see and hear it. It even tried to attack a fully grown lion, which is at least 5x its weight and size. It would be like me trying to fight two Mike Tyrons and suddenly realising that things are not going too well for me as bell of the first round rings. 🔔🔔🔔🔔😮
You are right. We spotted very few Warthogs, may be just 3, including this one in our 3 days excursion. Our experienced guide told us that "Warthogs" think they can take on any animal and make such mistakes.
Quick look at Wikipedia says worthogs are of least concern when it comes to their survival. Whereas lions are under threat or vulnerable. It's hard to spot worthogs because they hide during the day, maybe? As for this specific one, I think it's a dominant male. But it's surprising that it never saw a lion before. I don't know, very strange.
At first I was amazed (and still am amazed) by the gall of that warthog… squaring off with the Lion, as the Lion boldly approached the warthog… but then as the warthog realized it’s impudence, I felt such sadness… just a little guy afraid now for its life… But I know this is life, in its purest form. And I respect that… but watching the clip over and over. You can see the fear in the little hogs eyes, as it eventually tries to run
We all thought it was on suicide mission and changed it's mind last second. It was the only instance when we saw someone facing lion so casually, other animals have always kept safe distance from the king of the jungle.
Warthog was caught up listening to 2PAC song, “I'd rather die like a man, than live like a coward”. When he realized living like a coward was probably the better choice, it was too late.
Even when it spotted lion, it took position and tried to charge than run for it's life, it was too late after realizing the mistake. But true, anything is possible in the wild.
@@the_nomadic_trails I did Tarangire, Serengeti Ngrorongoro and Manyara. My favourite is the Serengeti as I very much like the landscape and the sheer vastness of it, and saw at least 4 lion prides with appox. 10 members. They absolutely did not care about the jeeps around them and approached the jeeps searching for shade, but the drivers always backed off. In the crater I did see at least 7 rhinos, they were near the lakes /off the tracks so I was only able to see them with binoculars. In tarangire I saw a hyena stealing a carcass from vultures and in Serengeti I saw a cheeta teaching its offspring to hunt (unsuccessfully).
Warthogs ,wild boars, boars... they have a very bad vision but they have a better olfactory and visualization senses.... i think the lion was silent and the wind was against the lion's direction so he could not hear or smell the upcoming lion
Bro.. check the original short in shorts section of my channel. It was 10x zoom in portrait mode. I have to cut off landscape video out of it, which further zooms into the video 😊 hence it looks like that.

Sometimes it does make me think that animals when they decide to end their lives or feel they no longer want to exist they just surrender themselves to death by becoming an easy prey. The warthog surely is not stupid it just decided to cut its journey on earth and move on to another world.
@@sanogoyuga do you know if it exists or not ?? Not a laughing matter as we think this world is for the humans and by the humans. This is complete wrong assumption. Probably the bravest and dumbest warthog
This is what happens if you attend more motivational class 💀
Lesson for life 😄
Warthog was definitely high
Definitely!🤣🤣
Let the guy eat in peace please. This is odd and bizarre as a fetish. Safari paparazzi ?

The warthog didn't expect the male lion to be hunting lol
Y hog there. Theres no green food
This was this lion's easiest catch ever.
True! Walk in a park.
Sehr nett, das Schweinchen hat sich freiwillig zum Frühstück angeboten🤔😅😂.........🇩🇪🫡🇩🇪
Maybe that warthog had never bumped into a lion before?
That's the reason it was still alive 😅
Amazing, how this poor warthog confronts a large male lion, instead of run.

Amazing how the lion first go down wind to maintain stealth
Lions do not know this trick. They think Leopards do though.

Why did he/she do it?
Did the warthog sacrifice its life to save its kids from the kion?
Or maybe injured?
I wonder how warthog did not spot that lion.
