Beware the jump cut at 5:35, that top left bolt is through the firewall, you have to remove the wipers and remove the plastic under them to get to that bolt. You also have to disconnect the heater hoses and the ac lines at the firewall. We found it easiest to disconnect the ac lines first and reach the hose clamps on the heater lines from inside the cab by pulling the whole unit in. Take your time and this isn’t that bad, it Just takes a while.
@@NissanDoctor how much does it cost my extended warranty is paying for my new evaporator core because the levers are sticking and the airflow is not getting directly correctly so my air is not blowing from time to time but I have to wait to it gets unstuck
I have a 2016 Rogue that stopped blowing cold air after a long highway drive it sat and was fine, do I have to change my AC expansion valve, clean coil or replace? Anything easy? My cabin filter is very clean
This isn’t a step by step tutorial guys. It’s an overview of what the job is. If you can’t clearly see what’s going on here, you don’t have any business changing out any evaporator cores.
Took 5 and half hours start to finish for me i left the steering column attached. i put a long bolt in the left side pillar so it would hold it up and give me enough room to pull the steel portion of the the dash back to slide the box out through to top.
thank for showing where a step by step process where all the bolts are at 😅 instead of just putting the camera in one spot and not show us where every bolt and screw place ment
Is there a difference between the rogue you've done and a 2008 sl awd rogue because i need to know how to replace the EVAP core on that specific vehicle by the end of today
The 2014 and 2015 Nissan Rogue "Select" is the same as the 2008-2013 Rogues. Don't confuse the 2014-2015 Rogues with the Select. It gets very confusing when doing repairs for the '14-'15 model years. Nissan's are just F'd up.
Total waste of time. I don't get the people that think this was helpful for any DIY mechanics. All it demonstrates is that, yes this is a long and complicated process for a simple part for even when done in a Nissan shop with all the specialty tools required available.
Instructions on mitchel are very bad. Your video was very helpful to get the general idea of the job. Thank you very much. I dont think the average person should try this one. You should post a video of splitting the case to help people. That's the next fun part to this job.
Will never buy a Nissan ever again, 2015 Rogue, at 62k transmission needed to be replaced, now at 100k wheal bearing need to be replaced and issues with evaporator and transmission again, ridiculous. Had a Rav4 before, no issues up to 150k, only a water pump change at 60k. Also, 2 co-workers, both had Nissans, both had transmission issues under 100k
My tyranny is leaking torque converter...Currently on the shop. Mechanic gave me a quote and when I called back he said he didn't expect this amount of labour and doubled it. I am selling it as soon as possible. This car has me living pay check to pay check...😅 I can't deal with the stress
1st off this is fookin insane! Second, I am having to have this done as we speak in 2022 with a 2008 Rogue. What is the cost of something like this? Thanks
More than a 2008 Rogue is worth. Because as soon as your complete this there'll be another $2k repair waiting around the corner for these cheap ass Rogues.
Wh0 the hell would want "to watch another YT video like this one"? Just great waste of time. Learned absolutely nothing except this is not a car I'd ever buy or recommend again. I helped my grandson pick out a 2014 Nissan Rogue Select 3 years ago. $7k in 2020 with 110k miles. Then it started to nickel and dime him. Parts are reasonable but the effort to repair and replace is daunting. Damn near have to disassemble half the car. To date we've replaced the starter, the AC compressor. Lower control arms, tie rod end links. Three partial CVT fluid changes which did eliminate the mild slipping, but trying to get at the actual paper transmission filter is another royal pain in the ass.
Jesus! Why would they put the evaporator in a location hard to replace?! I fear this is what my car going to need to be done to. My AC isn’t cold but they can’t find a leak. They said it’s most likely under the dashboard.

Oh…my…god! This gives me anxiety. I’m close to just throwing the car away at this point
😂😂😂😂
Supports the theory that the they build the car around the HVAC system.
Lol, must be true. This is a very costly repair.
@@NissanDoctor what's the price range on this job?

Doing this on a 2018 Nissan rogue right now and everything is basically the same. Awesome video to skim through. Thank you!

How much would it cost? And does go under warranty?
im doin one but we got just the evap core, am i still able to replace it or do u have to replace the whole unit like u did?

I have a 2015 Rogue. I guess this explains why they want $3400 to replace my leaky evaporator? Would you agree, or would you say that’s overcharging?
overcharging , i got a rate of $900 but thats still expensive the part only costs $70
My friend has a 2018. $950+tax $1016 from AAA Radiator & A/c in a Miami ... Just got the quote this morn...
@zenah69 Thats crazy low price. Did you get it done? How much? Does it all work?
