I have lived in and traveled to 38 countries, # years in Medellin Colombia, I year in Japan and now 2 years in San Jose Costa Rica. My advise to all travelers is this...If you bring your western Attitude and Taste and Arrogance into any third world country it will be more challenging.....If you practice living as a local and adapt their way of life you will be more happier I feel and your expenses will be low....but if you bring that arrogant way of thing in any third world country then you will be making a video similar to this talking about how expensive Costa Rica or ant third world can be......Compare life to your western home country and you are living the dream.......Ok People
@@our.secret1130 living like a local means , eat at their local family owned restaurants, don't eat American or your home country restaurants, never negotiate a lease for an apartment as a gringo, make local friends negotiate for you, buy in markets live like the locals and your cost will be cut in half, but not all western foreigners can adapt to this and so they make these stupid videos of how expensive it can be, totally oblivious of a true expat life, just classic inexperience if you ask me
