I have been a powerlifter and strongman for 21 years. Recently moved over to just kbs and callisthenics. Best thing I ever did, why anyone thinks you can’t build muscle with kbs is beyond me!
Fantastic as ever Pat, don't let the negative people get you down. I came across you 5 years ago, when I was obese. I lost the weight got into training and became a Trainer myself. I'm now training for the KB Cert myself.. Your video's have bee invaluable to do. Every blessing!
For all those people who say "Kettlebells don't build muscle",I say Bullshit! Been doing this for a month and got some great gains. Not like a body builder but my mass has increased and definition is coming on nicely. You will end up with an athletic/fighter's physique but if that's what you are after this routine delivers.
+Big Dave True, true. I mean, come on. Effort + proper form + heavy shit + proper diet = gains. It's mathematical fact. Next, the dummies will be telling me I'm not making gains by lifting concrete bags day in, day out.
Kettlebells can be used for conditioning or/and strengh depending how u use them. They can make some muscles grow, but not like a bodyBuilderlike, but like an athlete.
This set of movements is one of my favorite kettle bell exercises. I added an overhead squat while my arms are still pressed up for quad/core work. Ether way its done its a killer....
I'm starting out with two 16kgs, I already have one 55lb (troy lol). I plan on alternating the 55 on each set pretty soon. I have a question on other things I could be doing during the week without taking away from any gains. Maybe doing swings and windmills one or two of the other days of the week?
Hey mate, can you 'superset' this routine? I did this today and did 5x clean+press, then immediately 5x squats... rest 60 secs, do for 10 sets. appropriate, or should i do all cleans, then all squats? awesome, simple protocol. know what im doing for the next 4 weeks!
Broadly I might classify them as a pull, insofar as they’re a hinge (which itself sometimes get classified as lower body pull) plus a high-pull component.
BulldozerJack you say he has no muscle then how is he lifting that much weight? you are a fool. i look bigger than this guy but cant dowhat heis doing. so he is stronger than i am no matter how he looks.
Daniel Bengtsson He is one of best kettlebell instructors around.look at all of them, nobody have muscles like bodybuilders but they are all strong as hell!

+Big Dave Nice. Keep working and good luck.

Agree with that

11 years and still a classic. Was so hyped that I no longer have to wait around in the gym for 6 different machines/benches to be free.
See the new video of this on my @kettlebellquickies channel? 💪

What happened to those front squats?
So, where are the front squats???
Ahhhhh,another good one.Thanks,Pat.
Those double clean and presses are killer brother! Nice work, I can only do one clean and press at the moment.
How about 1 year later?
How about 5 years later?
Pat could I do this mon&friday & throw in a swing workout on Wednesday?
so all it is is kettlebell clean and press, 10 sets of 5? could this be used as a cardio and endurance workout?
I am finding it very difficult to adjust to sports version from hardstyle. Some suggestions please@admin
How much do those kettlebells weigh?
A bit over 50 lbs each
can i do this one arm at a time im broke i only gots 1 24 kettelbell lol
Sure why not? Not the same results, but you would engage your core more, because it's a one arm press. Try doing ladders, those can be a killer
How many weeks do you do this for? Can you vary rep range etc etc?
Sorry for the delay. 8 - 12 weeks is about right for something like this. Check out my blog for updated programming details on this.
great work bro. kettle bells rock

so one thing i noticed you've got no pulling exercises.... whats up with that?
Clean is pulling you're cleaning on the press & squat.
Clean is a pull and push is the press
@@nicholasmartin6713 is he cleaning for every squat?
@@philiptaylor1762 no one clean then squat
Wheres the squats

Hey Pat, are kettlebell snatches considered a “pull” exercise?
Broadly I might classify them as a pull, insofar as they’re a hinge (which itself sometimes get classified as lower body pull) plus a high-pull component.
Can these be done every day ? Since I have limited time because of my work schedule just to get ? Or will burn myself out?
Max Caruso hi Max, for this level of intensity, I’d recommend 3-4x/week.
@@supmuhhumbruh thank Pat 👍👍👍
Pat's a good lad but I don't think the GOMAD is so great. Maybe heavy cream and protein powder?
30 lbs?? how skinny were you?
сработало!
you can use a camera tripod :)
You guys forgot to show your second exercise!
functional strength hypertrophy
I second this question. I, too, currently have just 1 24kg bell, and although I COULD afford another bell, I don't wanna risk breaking the bank.
24kg
Is that a pair of 32kg bells!?!? 72 pounds per hand? That's really impressive!
in the video he said 24kg
Looks like Long Cycles to me. I'm sure 56,167 people have said that so far, but that's what you're doing.
I think if you want to look stocky and built Kettlebells work. If you want to look like a body builder than look elsewhere.
Is sound like a damn robot the first guy
Dude has no muscle yet makes a video about how to gain mass with them kettlebells...
BulldozerJack hahhhaaaa, ain't that something.
These guys are all jokes wtf
+JAY- TATE Yeah, it's not as easy as it looks (50 C&P and 50 front squats with double 24s) - I still can't handle this much volume at my current lvl.
BulldozerJack you say he has no muscle then how is he lifting that much weight? you are a fool. i look bigger than this guy but cant dowhat heis doing. so he is stronger than i am no matter how he looks.
Fonctional muscles, you amateur and dont know anything about athleticism lol
30 pounds? What did he weigh 35 kg before? because he still looks like he weighs 50 kg now. This guy is a joke
I have a hard time taking lessons on putting on mass from a skinny dude with no muscles... but that's just me. Good form though...
Daniel Bengtsson He is one of best kettlebell instructors around.look at all of them, nobody have muscles like bodybuilders but they are all strong as hell!
Daniel Bengtsson the dude is 6'3. I guarantee he looks bigger in person
There are a lot of people out there that say kettlebells are great for building muscle. For some reason ... all of them are skinny.
Anything heavy that you lift builds muscle 🙄. And every body builder are meat heads. Oh the irony 🙄
