This inspired me to start my own challenge, 3000 pushups and 3000 situps in a month. I'm 900 pushups/situps into it now. I know it's not on the same level as this, but for me it's a lot. I was in great shape in high school, but I'm 30 now with no muscle and while skinny, my belly was starting to push out for the first time. Gotta stop that shit in it's tracks and get tough, wish me luck.
Go for it man! An inspiration to me and everyone else. Will be really interesting to see how you progress. Especially the pull ups. When I was in Taiwan I was doing pull-ups most days (outside free exercise parks there - should have them everywhere) and eventually had to stop because I got really bad tendonitus that persisted for months afterwards. I was doing as many as I could each set so will be interesting to see you breaking down into fewer reps and much more in total over such a long time - how you improve and how your body conditions.
Small muscles are not capable of "pushing through" the pain. Once you reach a certain level of lactic acid it simply stops contracting. The running isn't bad. The pushups and pullups are insane.
Hey Lex, I’m with you for the challenge. I’ll be focusing mostly on the pushups and pull-ups since I have a bad knee injury at the moment. If I might add a suggestion for the running. While the distance isn’t too crazy, you may benefit from doing two of your rounds prior to the run. In my experience, if you can activate your quads, core, and glutes before the run, you will be less likely to get injured. This will help to prevén runners knee, which is very common for distance runners.
I recommend checking out Iron Wolf's TH-cam channel, especially his warm up & cool down videos, he is a beast that does super high rep body weight exercises daily.
I've been blasting out 2-300 military pushups a day for the last two months. I haven't got a goal to reach like you my friend but one things for sure, we'll be suffering together brother!
It is a very ambitious challenge, but as with everything - the biggest obstacle is in your head. I did a similar challenge when the lockdown started - the Murph (100 pull ups, 200 push ups, 300 squats and 2 mile run and you try to do it as fast as possible) every day for 30 days. Initially, it seemed like madness, I had never done more than 40 pull ups in a day not even talking about continuous days without rest. But after the first week, as you said it became a habit, I became used to it and did not have any issues, except motivating myself to do it every day. Your challenge seems to be almost twice as what I did and I can assure you it will be tough, but you will get through this, just keep on pushing! With continuous small steps, every mountain peak can be reached! Best of luck and I am looking forward to seeing your results! I am also doing another challenge - in my second month training to run a marathon, started with 30km per week (18.6 miles) and have been upping that by 5 km (3.1 miles), now at 60km per week (37.3 miles).
Hey Lex, you and David have motivated me to do a 30 day challenge of my own. I actually made a video and posted it on my channel. I’ve made it extremely challenging just like yours. I’m a few days in and whenever it gets hard I come back to this video for motivation! Let’s get it son 👊🏻

I am joining you in quiet suffering, but I will be wearing my headphones and singing along as I run across America 3000miles... ish
Good Luck, Lex. You can do it!
this guy walking past his shoes rather than go running is an inspiration... he actually is human too.
I already run 5k a day, but I’ve been a bit too comfortable about it. Will do 10k (about 6 miles) a day for 30 days instead. As for the body weight exercises, I will do sets you laid out, starting with one and adding an additional one each day. Thank you for starting this, hope things are alright at your end.
@@AntonioInnocente Definitely learned that in the past few years!

Thats actually easy, aside from yhe 10km run. Replace that with a high speed 10k bike ride is what im doing.
@@thelonelyduck7267 yea lol, if you're over 170 plbs/77kgs distance running is a bish
@@thelonelyduck7267 it was a reference
@@rajunaidu7751 yea I’m 175 and 6’2 and running is definitely harder than riding your bike. I just ran my fastest mile yesterday which was a 7 min mile, and today I ran 5.1 miles. I’m not saying bike riding isn’t easy either, it’s definitely hard.
@@alanramirez7368 a 5km run in 15 mins is the Gold standard
There was a day when I did 500 push-ups in one workout. Took a while. I sure as hell didn't do it for 30 straight days. Good luck, dude.
These two humans are equally insane, but in very different ways, and I love them both! :)
This is awesome. I've just committed to 250 pushups for 25 days on a related challenge. Your video gave me the impotus to say fuck it, flippant is the way.
Did you do it?
Also no A/C to train the mind. Good luck, Lex "Saitama" Fridman
"Hell" certified.
I've been looking for something to shake up my life a bit. I'm in.
I'm in too. 30days of some badass fun.
anagha lokhande it ain’t gonna be fun 😂
Good luck with the challenge and staying mainly injury-free. Spreading that Goggins mentality right there 👌
You can do it bro there is no failure in challenging yourself
You can do It!! 💪
Time to go back on JRE😂。you’re my favorite guest.
I was thinking, this is EPIC, no. This is legendary 🙌 Dude! “Legend tells of a legendary warrior whose kung fu skills were the stuff of legend.” -Kung Fu 🐼
I started doing 3000 press up a month, which is no where near what you are attempting. It's fucking heroic! I wish you well and luck a fuck ton of it!
Just realized this was a year ago haha how did it go?
This inspired me to start my own challenge, 3000 pushups and 3000 situps in a month. I'm 900 pushups/situps into it now. I know it's not on the same level as this, but for me it's a lot. I was in great shape in high school, but I'm 30 now with no muscle and while skinny, my belly was starting to push out for the first time. Gotta stop that shit in it's tracks and get tough, wish me luck.
gl bro
Go for it man! An inspiration to me and everyone else. Will be really interesting to see how you progress. Especially the pull ups. When I was in Taiwan I was doing pull-ups most days (outside free exercise parks there - should have them everywhere) and eventually had to stop because I got really bad tendonitus that persisted for months afterwards. I was doing as many as I could each set so will be interesting to see you breaking down into fewer reps and much more in total over such a long time - how you improve and how your body conditions.
Lex=savage! How about rolling for as many minutes as people retweet next time? :)
Love your channel!

Small muscles are not capable of "pushing through" the pain. Once you reach a certain level of lactic acid it simply stops contracting.
The running isn't bad. The pushups and pullups are insane.
Never heard Goggins describe the “resume” or cookie jar of the mind quite this before. Really good stuff
Best channel ever
Yea he could knock out this challenge in under a week
@@jayme420 whats crazy is you are definetley right
The easiest way to know if your form is good, is if you maximize range of motion. I wish you good luck Lex! Mad respect if you finish it!
This is incredible, thanks this motivates me to up my game.
I've been blasting out 2-300 military pushups a day for the last two months. I haven't got a goal to reach like you my friend but one things for sure, we'll be suffering together brother!
PLANTBASED IS GO-TO BRO. Been 2 years. Fittest/strongest ive ever been.
Loving it man. started doing something similar to get in shape. I'm going to have to up my planning and dedication. Good luck. New sub for sure.
Great challenge Lex, go get it!
I will join you but do 5000 push-up's in 1 month, not sure I'm ready to break myself with 20,000! 🙄

@@parrogakaparadise9477 Right!?! I do that, every, single, day!
JustJitzu calling David Goggins out for bullshit is like trying to fill a sieve up with water... stupid and pointless.
At the end of the 30 days you're going to be JACKED!!!!! You getting me fired up!!!!
Go Lex, going to be interesting to see what you mentally draw from this experience. Looking forward to the updates.
I'M IN WITH YOU! Let's get this!

You knew what you were in for calling Goggins!
He's the only person in the world who is allowed to say "Fucking" that many times and motivate you
Hey Lex, you and David have motivated me to do a 30 day challenge of my own. I actually made a video and posted it on my channel. I’ve made it extremely challenging just like yours. I’m a few days in and whenever it gets hard I come back to this video for motivation! Let’s get it son 👊🏻
It’s gonna take a lot longer than 1h a day...
I do less volumes than this guy and it's took me 2 hours 40 minute lol
Seriously, a 6 mile run alone is gonna take up most of that time
