I've tried to see how the episode Signals crossed could work. I thought of writing it as a flashback story Toby is telling to another engine, the story being set when he was still new to the island, like a few weeks after he came to Sodor. At least it would make since.
For those ones, I wondered if either I t was intended for Henry to be scared based on Brenner’s magazine stories and others were because of Mattel’s constant medalling with the writers and how they write the stories to match their demands, no thanks to Mattel for interfering
And Toby believing he's never as special as the other engines and Edward being out of character sometimes also derives from Brenner's magazine stories too.

I don't really have that many least favorite episodes from the good of Brenner's work. S17 was good CGI Thomas for me. 3 steam engines gruff The truth about Toby Emily in the middle Signals crossed Engine of the future The railcar and the coaches Bradford "Duck and the slip coaches" and "Duck in the water" I never really hated because of Duck being in CGI, but I genuinely think that James hates Duck just like what Unlucky Tug thought of with Thomas. Fact: "Henry spots trouble" got banned in Australia for anti vaccination messages. I was expecting "A shed for Edward" come for how famously hated it is.
@@joshuaW5621One thing I remember in this video by ASodorLife that was talking about "Edward strikes out" and "Edward and the mail" and how to fix them is that when he talked about Edward's departure it shows that Edward can't know how to say yes or no when given the choice to sleep at Wellsworth with Philip.

In my opinion, if I had to rewrite one of these episodes, it would be Flatbeds of Fear, and here’s how I’d do so; 1. I would change the title to "The Spectral Flatbeds" (the reason why is, in my opinion, if the Flatbeds of Fear are very scary, why do they want to couple up to another engine, let alone, why would flatbeds even be considered scary at all?). 2. I would extend Salty’s story to give more backstory to the Old Engine (Oh, and speaking of which…). 3. I would have the Old Engine be a different character instead of Stanley, as Stanley’s appearance in Salty’s story implies that he was on Sodor before The Great Discovery (I’ll leave you decide who the Old Engine should be, but for me, the Old Engine would be a GNR Class J13/LNER Class J52 named Austin). 4. I would portray Henry and Emily in their original personalities (To make this work, let’s say that, when Henry hears about the spectral flatbeds, he says; "Spectral flatbeds? Pah! There’s no such thing!" while also remembering the time he mistook Old Bailey the fogman for a ghost, as a reference to Haunted Henry). 5. I would extend the episode’s runtime to 17 minutes, and instead make it a double-length episode, like Diesel’s Ghostly Christmas in Season 19.
I personally thought The Way She Does It was the worst episode. Because it pretends to be a Brenner Episode when really it’s a nitrogen episode style. And Daisy decided to pick up on Thomas’s railway racism on diesels. Except it’s targeted at the steam engines.
Henry Spots Trouble is actually one of my favs! I watched the Japanese version and it was so hilarious when Henry saw everyone with spots and Freaked Outt! Those around me wondered why I was laughing. The humor is like Japanese humor, it’s so funny when people exaggerate their emotions and Freak Out! 😆
I totally agree with the rankings for the worst episodes of the Brenner Era as I feel like the writers, same with Andrew Brenner himself, just 100% didn't know how to write or fix some of the characters for how they acted starting in Season 8 and then into the first 4 cgi seasons.
Peter Sam the Narrow Gauge Engine made his own list yesterday. It’s pretty interesting. At least the overhated Shedward wasn’t on here. Characters have to get scared sometimes, even Thomas ones. It's natural in media so not making them scared won't do at all.
