Millennium Biltmore Hotel L.A: Is It Haunted? | Hotel Tour & History

- Hello everyone!! As you know, we are now halfway to Halloween! So in this video, follow my mom & I along on our spookiest adventure yet! The Millennium Biltmore in L.A opened in 1923, and is a fascinating & beautiful hotel with a ton of history! Lots of movies have filmed at the Biltmore, most notably Ghostbusters (which I will show in this video). Tragedy has also happened at this hotel: It is said to be the last place the Black Dahlia was spotted before her disappearance. Not only that, but Laura Finley (who was staying at the hotel to audition for America’s Got Talent) was found dead at the bottom of the hotel’s stairway in 2010. So is this hotel haunted? Check out our vlog and decide for yourself, but please take all of the haunted history with a grain of salt. I’m sure there is a logical explanation for the spooky stuff that happens in our video (or is there?) 😱

Thanks for watching everyone!! My mom & I plan to talk more about this crazy vlog in a separate video, so stay tuned!
hi there do u got any email for editing proposal ??
i'll edit for free.
Currently wrapping up a film shoot today. We're on the 11th and 9th floor. Pretty cool. We filmed here a few times and other historical locations. The old movie theatres in downtown are pretty creepy
Oh yeah? Which one is the creepiest?
Not my bf just booking this hotel and then me finding out it’s haunted 😂😅
Oh No!! 👻😂 Well the Biltmore is a beautiful hotel at least, I hope you enjoyed your stay! 🏨
Thank you for a wonderful tour of the Biltmore. It's hard to believe in the 70's this hotel closed its doors and could have been demolished. Thank goodness the new owners restored it and brought it back to life. You gals improved the room when you twirled in it! lol This would be the perfect place for a Halloween ball. Wouldn't that be spooky. xo
Of course, thank you so much for watching!! 💗 Ugh I’m so glad they didn’t tear the Biltmore down in the 70s, that would have been a tragedy! Haha we had fun dancing in the Gold Room, a Halloween ball at the Biltmore would be a great idea! 🙌
What a Honor to have gotten a tour of this place
Absolutely!! Quite an honor - everyone was so nice to us!!
It was definitely an honor, the Millennium Biltmore is a beautiful hotel!! 🏨💗
That was a great tour! A few years back, I was running the Queen Mary Ghost Cam Chat on IRC. I have had an "experience" on board. The vibe of the hotel reminds me of the Queen. I hope to see more from your visit. Thank you for the great reel!
Thank you so much!! Oooohh you worked on the Queen Mary?? I bet you have a lot of stories to tell! 😱 I’d love to do a tour video there one of these days, though I don’t know if I’d be brave enough to spend the night lol! 🚢
@@LindseyLand Hello, I was at Knotts Friday night. I saw JCP (Your mom) looking snazzy as always. I was star struck and didn't say hello. Next time I will. Hope you both had a good time. Ghost town live was fun!
Can’t wait for the follow up video. This was a wild ride ladies, thanks for taking us along!
Thank you so much for watching!! This video was definitely a crazy ride 😱 I can’t wait to do a follow up video, it should be coming soon!
@@LindseyLand 👻
i was working on a tv show and myself and one other actor were in the corridor where the fire exit is on the 11th floor and between takes, i told him the story of the black dahlia and as soon as i said she stayed on that very floor, the heavy fire door blew open for no reason. no draft. no person behind it. this is a defunct fire door, it seems, too, not even sure why it was so loosely unlocked and closed. the actor said he got chills
i want to see a room tour of the 10th/11th floor. seeing all those hallway doors spaced so far apart. those bedrooms must be ginormous. im convinced that the biltmore is haunted. 😱 great job on all the hard work you put into making this video from the timestamps with descriptions to the history lessons to inserting movie scene footage. your recollection of movie lines from Ghostbusters is remarkable. it is like you watched the movie dozens of times. Very much looking forward to your next video discussing footage from this visit. Cheers!
I’m definitely curious to see the rooms at the Millennium Biltmore, but it would take a lot to convince my mom to spend a night at the hotel! 🤣🏨 I’ll keep trying though!
@@LindseyLand🤣😹 She said it would take a lot of money to convince her. so that means she has a price 👻
@@LindseyLand i found this video, which is upbeat and shows what a room looks like. maybe if your mom watches it, she will want to go. th-cam.com/video/bFCx3AqRKKY/w-d-xo.html
Check out the Sam and Colby video they did about that room
This was definitely a different kind of adventure that we did not expect!! What a stunning hotel The Biltmore is with lots of Hollywood History!!
sometimes ignorance is bliss for if you had known it was haunted, Joni would you have still gone?
@@boomboomboom4160 Let's just say I'm glad I didn't know everything at the time LOL!
Definitely a beautiful and historic hotel, we didn’t even get to cover everything in the video!! I guess we have to go back, right? 🤣🏨
@@LindseyLand yes please 🙏😹
❤this is totally something my Mother would of loved to do w/ me together, and one of my daughters is a born ghost hunter too.My other daughter I feel is borderline sensitive to the paranormal and she wouldn't go near any haunt spot.Thats b*cause she FEELS these things but doesn't want any part of any of it! LOL ❤You 2 do great videos, I am now a happy new creepy subscriber!!! I kept thinking that you were at The Cecil Hotel......for some odd reason.....Keep up the awesome work Ladies!!!✨⭐🎶🌟🪗💚p.s. great twirling btw!!!😂
The hidden room was an awesome walk through! Must’ve been super eerie
Thank you so much!! Walking through at night was definitely a bit eerie! 😱
om gosh 😲 i was looking out for an IG notification all day and totally missed your YT video debut by over an hour. i knew this vlog was coming. so happy its finally here 🤗 you look amazing. no, i havent seen a ghost but i have goosebumps! 😘 edit: spoke too soon. that place is awesome/creepy/fascinating alright...
Awww thank you so much for watching, I’m so glad you enjoyed our video!! 🥰
@@LindseyLand im a huge fan! there is so much to love about you, your mom, and your channel/vlogs 😍
Wow the history of this hotel 🏨 from movies to the people who stayed there 💗 you should stay the night during Halloween 🎃 it be a good spooky 👻 video 💗 mom is so smart knows so much about the history 💗
Awww, thank you Princess! It was fun learning so much about The Biltmore Hotel!! On our first visit I didn't know a lot of things.
Halloween. I don't Know. Lindsey would have to pay me a whole LOT of money to stay there.....just saying.....😳
@@joniconway5161 lol 😂 definitely agree
It’s definitely a beautiful hotel with tons of fascinating history!! 😱🏨 Haha that would be a good idea, but it would probably take a lot to convince my mom to spend the night at the hotel! 🤣 I’d probably have to buy her at least 3 Bernie Dexter dresses! 👗
@@LindseyLand lol 😂 probably 6 lol 😂
@@LindseyLand 😀🤣😀!!!
It's 5:13 in the morning rn and I'm geeking out with you
you guys are super cool I love this
even though it does not come compare to the class and majesty of the Millenium Biltmore, I've actually slept over at a haunted hotel before all by myself.
Lol I don’t think I’d be brave enough to to stay at a haunted hotel by myself!! 🤣 What hotel was it, & did you have any spooky experiences there? 😱
@@LindseyLand 😄Thanks for asking! Last summer, I stayed at the Apache Hotel at the Binion's casino in Downtown Las Vegas. There was a receptionist in training who resembled a female version of Harry Potter, but not a friendly face.. she did not smile at all or show any facial expressions... just absolutely stoic and i dont think she even spoke a word. i asked the manager or guy who was training her about the haunted nature of the hotel and I forgot what he said but as i turned around to leave the front desk he said there was a ghost behind me and without looking, i said, "no there's not" and he just smiled. My hotel room itself gave me that clenched chest feeling that you described, so i can relate to you in this vlog. The furniture and building itself was very old, despite being recently renovated. As I explored the common areas of the rest of the hotel, which were vacant and very large open spaces like your experience at the Biltmore, again i got that clenchy chest sensation but by the end of my stay, i didnt see any ghosts or hear or see distant crying sounds like you experienced. I guess that means its worth a second trip back and maybe i should bring a friend or two or three to be my eyes and ears. 👻
@@LindseyLand th-cam.com/video/UgQ4La2DIPA/w-d-xo.html here is a video about the apache hotel in case you were wondering.
I'm here right now. And felt something walking around these rooms
how much are the rooms?
It was ME!
Ok so the moment with the elevators at 12:35 I think I can explain. Those elevators were modernized by a company called ThyssenKrupp. Their controllers are set up to ring the chime when an elevator arrives however it will ring it again if the button is pressed again. I assume this feature is to lead someone to the elevator if they did not see it arrive. If you look at the two call buttons on that floor, you will see that one is flashing but one is steady. I believe the steady button was stuck in, therefore the elevators were held there with the chimes continuously sounding. I’ll bet if you go back there and hold the call button in you would be able to recreate it.
Came here to mention this exact same thing. You beat me to it. :)
Academy awards were never held in the Gold Room. They were held in the Sala del Oro which became the Biltmore Bowl on the other side of the hotel
Oops I did get that wrong! The Biltmore Bowl was the site of eight Oscar/Academy Award ceremonies. So cool! 🤩🏨
Wow!!!! So lucky to have been near that pool , was the cruel intentions poster in the hotel??
The pool is awesome!! 🤩 Haha yeah I saw the Cruel Intentions poster!
Omg your mom is awesome!!! She is a sweet bubbly person, I love her characteristics. Was there like a Disney princess event going on, or do yall usually dress like princesses every day
Al Capone was not in LA?
Chicago, bruh
Hi I wondered if you or your Mother had any prior affiliation with the hotel? I notice the badges and special access you seemed to have. Thanks for sharing!! So awesome to see.
Awesome video Lindsey
Thank you so much, I appreciate it!! 😄
42:52 Slimer? aweeee i reached the end. bittersweet moment.
Thanks for watching!! 👍
@@LindseyLand ❤️
This hotel looks so awesome 👌
It is an awesome hotel, very old school & beautiful! 🏨
wouldn't it be creepy, if that phone call was to her killer. 😢
😱😱😱😱
That place is very haunted especially the 2nd floor which is haunted by a nurse. And so is the penthouse/presidential suite that's on the 10th/11th floor
Omg wait you're so pretty!!!
I love the movie The Shining
The Shining is one of my favorite horror movies!
39:24 Joni lol
I KNOW!!! Could you tell I was all about "Let's GO!!!" 🤣
@@joniconway5161 Yes! Mothers know best 😂 woah the distant crying sound that followed shortly afterwards... You girls did really well sticking around for as long as you did. 👍
Haha my mom was like “I’m outta here!!” 🤣
@@LindseyLand i think to the untrained eye (for someone who has not watched a lot of your videos before), that moment would have looked ordinary and unremarkable. i noticed that in your vlogs, your mom is typically just a couple of steps ahead, leading the way on your adventures. ive been tempted to make a comment about it in past vlogs because of the "cute factor" but for whatever reason did not. anyway, in this video it is really apparent that there was something wrong comparatively speaking. 😹 at first i thought that maybe you were escorting your dad but i dont kmow if he came along that day.
