You INSPIRE me daily!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm grinding right now getting my new etsy shop open! Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sure hope people that complain about prices watch this and realize the time, effort, and talent that go into making these beautiful gifts. Thank you for sharing your process. It reminded me of the days way back when, when I did the arts & craft fair circuit.
Omg I had to pause the video to comment. I love the disapproval in your voice as he’s dangling from a tree. “How do you know that limbs not going to break?” Lol I’m comforted and dismayed that all boys are the same. I have the same resigned voice when my man child does stuff like this.
Thanks for this video! Very inspiring! I am new to Silhouette, considering investing in one to start a small business. I am curious as to why one would make a stencil vs. using permanent black (or whatever color) vinyl and laying it on like you did on the Scrabble pieces. I am learning so much from you! Thank you!!
Yay!!!! Love to see you work. Your so amazing. I wish one day to be like you. OMG....your dog is GORGEOUS. and omg who was that hanging from the tree, is that your husband, omg he really shouldn't do that lol . thanks for the video, was so happy to see you posted one. Thank you for everything you do, you are truly a GEM.....
Thank you so much! Yes it is my husband 😆 no worries he does know what he is doing, he was trimming trees and had climbing gear on but it still makes me nervous! I appreciate your kind words ❤❤❤
Yes the big ketchup bottles or ant other bottle that has the silicone tip. I squirt the paint in the middle and work my way out to over the substrates. Eventually my roller gets good and saturated. 🙂
Thank you for the vlog, always looking forward to your videos! At first I was like monkey in SC how in the world and then realized I need some coffee probably because that thought was stupid 🤦♀️😅hope you’re well
@@SimplySallie You can clamp a piece of scrap wood to the fence of your saw at the length you need. Also, I believe your saw may have a built in hold down clamp on the left hand side that you can use as well.
I loved seeing the video footage of your dog, awww...cute. Your husband looks like he enjoys heights! May I ask, which width of bubblewrap would you recommend buying please? I have some available near where I live, they sell it in 300mm, 500mm, 750mm and 1000mm. I know it'll be bulky to store as it comes in 100 metres 😮 x
Such a inspirational young lady Can I ask the name of the fonts used on the Scrabble pieces and the font used for the stay awhile sign .Thank you for all the great tips and tricks .God Bless from United Kingdom x
I am a newer subscriber, so I apologize if I should already know this from a previous video. I noticed you sell the scrabble letters individually. So if they aren't for a sign, I'm just curious how people use them? Just shelf decor? They look pretty popular!
I loved watching your process. I have many questions if you don't mind. First the wall unit you have your vinyl on, did you guys make that and if so are those pipes running across? I get the large rolls of vinyl and haven't found the best way to store them until now. Also what transfer tape do you use? It looks like it comes off so easy and doesn't take any of the pieces off that are needed? Thanks for sharing this. I love watching others process to get ideas of how I can make my life simpler. Oh by the way we have a Dutch Sheppard and when I'm outside she is always right near me too and so protective. She watches everything. I don't know how she don't get tired of always being on alert. LOL TFS
Thank you so much! Yes it is 2 x 6s and pvc pipe. In my newest craft room tour I go into a little detail on it. Transfer tape I use rtape clear choice at65. Yes our pup is ALWAYS right at our feet or near us. Such a good boy! We will forever have a German shepherd after him! 😊
Hi Sallie, I'm a new Sub. Loving your videos. They're very accessible and informative. I was wondering how come you measure each side of your sign frames (1x2s) instead of batch cutting them? Thanks,!
Thank you so much! Sometimes I do batch cut. This is what I've been doing lately. The reasoning to do the other way is to get an extremely accurate frame since sometimes the signs can be slightly off and not all be the exact same size. 😊
Do you ever have any issues with damage mailing your framed wall hangings just wrapping them with bubble wrap and brown craft paper? Beautiful work! I'm glad your video was recommended... subscribing for sure!
Hi Sally love your videos, thanks for sharing them. I wanted to ask you something for a while: In the large signs why do you use stencil and paint them instead of using vinyl?
Love watching t he process. When you rolled the white paint over the stencil than you sprayed black over that? And did you wait for the white paint to dry first? Why did you do that so in case you get bleeds you put the base color first Thanks
Great vlog, do you use clear coat varnish on your stained blocks? Also I hear Mod Podge is great for stained blocks for stencils. Did you find your sweet spot settings for cameo 4 Pro and stencil film?
Looove your videos! I have a question about the polyurethane. I finished a painted sign (white background and black lettering) and the black paint started coming off and getting all over the white background (tiny dots of it) 😭I had to go over all of them with the tip of my fingers to get them off. What am I doing wrong? I used the same polyurethane brand you use and the black foam brush 😩
Beautiful work! Question for you, I’ve started stenciling my signs for my house, I do a light layer of mod-podge over the stencil, wait till dry and then the paint color. Sometimes when removing the stencil after it drys it lifts part of the word up. Have you experienced this? Any suggestions?
I think its the mod podge! I've had this happen with it, but I could be wrong. Make sure your paint is fully cured before you peel the stencil off or seal.
My husband has had them for a long time, he said they don't sell anymore by this brand, but just search "battery powered scissors" and you should be able to find something!
It can be done either way! I guess I choose to because these are already quite time consuming, the lettering is smaller, and it would take even longer to have to stencil, tape off, and spray hundreds of these 😆 I have noticed customers do like the vinyl on these, they last for a very long time!
Use the squirt bottles to put some paint down on a paper plate then dip your roller. That way your paint will last longer.
Great designs as always. I loved the cardoard cutter tool. Thanks x

Love your studio vlogs 💕
Yay almost 10k! 🥰🙌🏼
Paint in condiment bottles mind blown 🤯
Nevermind spoke too soon lmao
🤣 I said the same thing! Maybe if the tip of the bottle was larger it would be better i think.

I am so glad I found you channel. May I ask what kind of transfer tape do you use for your decals? Thanks for any information!
Good job! One suggestion, for repeated cuts like your squares, use a stop block. Saves measuring and all your pieces are identical.
Thank you so much! I have heard someone else mention this, I am definitely going to check it out! Any particular brand you recommend?

What tool did you attach to your saw to cut down your wood? That looks amazing and looks like it saves so much time when cutting down wood! Thanks!
I think it’s the Kreg Rip-Cut www.lowes.com/pd/Kreg-Rip-Cut/1000281745

I have those! They are rechargeable scissors! Awesome tool!

Hey Sallie! If you don't have the tools to cut your own wood can Lowe's do it for you? I'm sure that route may be a little costly. 🤷🏾♀️

What size are your scrabble pieces? And what font did you used? Thanks. I love your work . Thanks for sharing.
They are 5.5" inch squares, the font used was "tilez" on dafont.

Thank you so much! Nope never had any damage!
What type of plywood do you use for your signs? Utility?
Hi can I ask what you used to cut your cardboard ? Love watching you do your multi - tasking ..
They are called powered scissors! Thank you so much!
Hi Sally love your videos, thanks for sharing them. I wanted to ask you something for a while: In the large signs why do you use stencil and paint them instead of using vinyl?
Thanks! I just like the look of the painted signs. I do vinyl on my scrabble tiles, but that's the only wood sign I put vinyl on!
What is the Dymo that you print out?
no issues shipping your signs in just brown paper and bubble wrap?
Say again why you put one popcorn in each package. Love your videos.
She said in another video its cheaper to ship as it has to be a certain height or its more to ship
Question with your Scrabble tiles. Do you offer command strips at an additional cost?
I do not but it is something I definitlh have considered!
What kind of vinyl & transfer tape are u using? Loving your videos!

Would be nice if you could answer the questions please?
Love cardboard cutter!!! What is it called?
I think they are called battery powered scissors! Love them!
Do you ever make mistakes on a sign or they don't turn out perfect every time? What do you do to fix the mistakes?
What size for the kissing booth sign?
Nice job, one question, why do you use the polyurethane on wood before placing on vinyl? I thought it was best to use after the vinyl is on the wood
It helps prevent bleeding. You shouldn't place polycrylic on top of vinyl, as vinyl needs to breathe. It may crack or bubble if you do.
Looove your videos! I have a question about the polyurethane. I finished a painted sign (white background and black lettering) and the black paint started coming off and getting all over the white background (tiny dots of it) 😭I had to go over all of them with the tip of my fingers to get them off. Hey! Sallie have you ordered your oramask from amazon before?
I only get at US cutter 😊

@@SimplySallie hi do you put a coat of poly over the vinyl scrabble letters?
Hi Sallie, i noticed that you hang your sawtooth hangers on the boards and not the frame. Is there a reason why?
There isn't a particular reason why, but it does hold up fine on the boards 😊 I think if you had hangers on the frame it may be too far up.
I just started making scrabble tiles today. Why did you choose to do vinyl over painting? I just printed all my stencils for painting them 😩
There is nothing wrong with painting them! I just feel like the vinyl saves time, especially when or if you're doing 100s of them!
What is that tool called that cut the cardboard so fast? I didn't know something like that existed.
I love it! They are just called powered scissors, or battery powered scissors. Something like that!

Do you use iMovie? I have a follow up question, if you do.
Nope sorry, I use premiere pro!
