Liverpool are without doubt the best team in the world on current form. I’ve found a lot of people keep making excuses for Liverpool winning games. They haven’t played anyone… They’ve been lucky… Livarpool blah blah. No just accept it. Liverpool are very very good, and Slot is amazing
Love listening to rival fans having an interesting honest conversation instead of biased fights about who’s players are better for clicks. Great to listen too
I was talking to a friend about this "new" Salah the other day. I felt in the last couple seasons Salah was struggling a little bit to come to terms with his age. He would often try to take players on for speed and failing. And again and failing. He seems to have finally understood he can't do that anymore, so he's learned to time everything perfectly. He slows down when he has to, passes when he has to, and dribbles when he feels he can get past a player. But he matured massively this season and adapted his game fantastically.
I feel like if you watch his interviews before he got to liverpool and some of the ones after, he speaks a great deal about evolving his game for where he is and what he feels capable of doing. Generational talent and deeply humble bloke, makes for the behemoth goal scorer we have now and are likely to have for a few more seasons to come.
As Wenger once said in Salahs first season with Liverpool, “Salah is a very intelligent player, and because of that he will be world class” (or something close to that). And he showed his class for eight seasons in a row! So no need to “worry” about “ageing” anytime soon.
If anyone who would have bottled it, that would be Arsenal. They've had Arteta for way more time, had a massive budget and was second last season. Arsenal, had the expectations this season not Liverpool.
Slott has done a great job at taking Jurgens team and molding them to play the football that he needs to get them to win games. He’s made them consistent winners, which I give him a lot of credit for because you have to come in and do it after Klopp who was/is so beloved by his players, staff and fanbase, Arne has shown he is brilliant in his own way. It’s also perfect timing because a lot of teams are underperforming, if he can go out and nick a title right from the start it would be a great way to get his name into the history books and allow him more breathing room.
@@samn6498 Yeah Brentford, West Ham, Villa, Brighton, Spurs and Forest at times showing higher levels of play is really way above the levels seen in most years of the PL. Even Chelsea aren't terrible

That’s >40% of all champions league trophies that have ever been handed out! SIX out of Liverpool’s 17 opponents so far have won a CL. No team has played more big teams than Liverpool this season.

The only thing that gives me doubts about Liverpool is injuries. I would have said Sunday was a nailed on win against city, but with Konates injury that is thrown into doubt. He's been the best defender in the league this season
Did Mo’s miss help his contract negotiations? Did Bradley show Trent is free to go? Did Jude think differently about encouraging Trent to leave Liverpool for his Madrid? Interesting evening regards the contract situation…..
Signing of the season is not a player but it’s got to be Arne Slot so far because no one expected him to be as successful as he’s been. I remember everyone saying Arne who? The job he’s done so far is outstanding.

Every manager will make a few mistakes with transfers, but overall Klopps recruitment was amazing which was the result of the club ensuring a thorough due diligence was carried out with every signing. Very few of his signings were complete flops, but he was able to move on those he didn’t think were what he wanted and still made the money back on them on the whole. We definitely didn’t take a huge hit on any that I can think of.
Slot or Klopp aside, it's Michael Edwards and his team of statisticians who are responsible for the strength of the team. Bringing back Edwards is a masterstroke by FSG to ensure the long term success of the project. Edwards was involved in bringing in the right players to win CL and the PL with Klopp and now he is involved in the evolution/progression of the talent level in the squad.
Still saying we haven't played a good team yet, WOW. Top of the Premier League and the Champions League Man UTD, Chelsea, Arsenal, Villa, Bayer Laverkusen, Real Madrid. The best thing is we haven't got out of second gear yet and there is a lot of room for improvement and that is exciting!
Arne has come in with similar tactics to Jurgen, but he's tempered the defenders bombing forward all the time, and we look a bit more solid defensively. We aren't going behind like we did a lot last season, and he's managing the minutes so we don't run out of steam.
As a Liverpool fan, I'm excited but not getting too carried away. I've got a feeling Arsenal are coming into form and have a run of very winnable games. If they win 5 in a row in the run up to Christmas, which is perfectly plausible, and Liverpool have a loss and a draw, we'd be going into the second half of the season with 4 points in it. Arsenal had a dodgy start to the season and some bad luck but it's a long season. I don't see Man City winning it. The 115 is hanging over them.
Please make more content together, i’d love a video like this once a week just talking about anything really, whether u talk about football currently or past stories or just football history, you bounce off eachother super well and have similar humour
Many people did not notice that Liverpool's Slot has announced their ruthlessness in the Pre-season when they beat everybody including Arsenal. I'm one of the few fans in this world who saw this coming.
3:40 nah mate we're title favourites because we've lost one game this season and break teams down and are twice as fit as others. Don't just put it down to city or arsenal underperforming
Im not being funny, but i really think the opening talk is unfair on liverpool. They have had an amazing start and they look the real deal regardless of what anyone else is doing in the league. If Man city were top right now, flying, and liverpool and arsenal had a shakey start, we wouldnt be saying "are we saying man city are title favourites because the other teams had a shakey start" no we wouldnt, because city are a great team. Give liverpool the respect they deserve, because they players they have are outstanding and i think regardless of what city were doing theres no reason why liverpool couldnt be considered title favourites still
Do these guys really think Arsenal are out of rhe title race in november and city is the only team in it. Arsenal were 7 points behind liverpool last season and finished above them
I disagree with the notion that Arsenal is out of the title race. In my opinion, they are Liverpool’s main challengers. As for Manchester City, I believe their season is effectively over; they will still finish in the top four, but a rebuild is necessary. Even before their recent losing streak, teams like Fulham should have managed to beat City. Their defense appears disorganized and vulnerable. I expect Liverpool to sense this weakness on Sunday, resulting in a comfortable victory for them.
The only thing that concerns me is if city win it will put them on a massive winning streak and ruin Liverpools confidence. A win is a must for Liverpool, because if they don't beat a wounded city, it's like punching a guy in a fight then him dropping his hands and asking you to punch him again, psychologically it will do damage
The question I dont seem to hear from these podcasters among others is are we seeing the passing of the managerial baton from the likes of Ancellotti, Pep, Klopp to the younger managers ..We seem the older managers moving to National teams ( Tuchel, Poch, Pep being linked to a few national teams, Klopp at Redbull ..
Klopp and Slot can be compared to Shankly and Paisley in the fact that like Shanks Klopp built the foundations of a successful era and Slot is the new Paisley to take up what Klopp built up and take the club forward to further success just like Paisley did after Shanks retired. The similarities are starting to look similar.
Sometimes there are a few good complete teams in a title fight but not every season is the same like a season utd finish 6th with 66pts and next season finish 2nd with 66pts. Being 1st is being the best team
Calafiori until he got injured was hands down the best signing of the summer. As a liverpool fan, I just think he hit the ground running once he started playing
Let's be honest.. Liverpool have beaten every champions they'e met this season. They started with the champion of Germany, champion of Spain and Europe, next up is Champion of England....
Brilliant analogy from Lawrence about boxing. It's like Slot sets up to feel them out in the first half, works out what needs to be done and Liverpool come out all guns blazing in the second half of games. Slot seems like a brilliant tactician, it's more methodical while still keeping elements of the intensity

Look at it this way, if their contracts were in any kind of doubt whatsoever then I don't believe Liverpool would be where they are now. 8 points clear and 3 major players in doubt? It really is totally unbelievable. I think Salah's on some kind of Dare.
This conversation about LFC being the best in the world is nonsense. We are coming to the start of December. Nothing is won in November. Were Spurs not top of the league in November last season and where did they end up? I'm a LFC fan and on current form you would say yes at the moment Barcelona and us are probably in the best form right now but football can change quickly. The narrative that LFC have not played anyone is also ridiculous. We can only beat what is put in front of us and thus far Slot has a tactical awareness and balance between defence and attack I think many of us wish Klopp had deployed in matches where all out attack cost us so many goals and we ended up having to make comebacks week after week. It was not good for the heart. I am pinching myself as I honestly didn't think we would be in this position but now comes the crunch. Can we extend our lead when it matters most. I have seen us many times have a lead at the top of 8 points or more in the league come December only for us to drop points away at a relegation fodder team on a rainy cold day in January. Now the media are peddling that all the teams we are playing have injuries and whatnot. That doesn't wash when we also have our keeper out, Trent and Jota. Chiesa has played like 70 minutes and injured yet again. We have won all our matches in all competitions barring Forest and a draw with Arsenal away. It's a phenomenal start. Talk about LFC being the best in Europe/world if they can finish the job. At the moment a great start, great job from Slot but the hard part is staying consistent and winning trophies at the end.

United is nowhere near City atm, whilst City are gonna put a good fight at Anfield if Dias is fit.
@@karlomatovina3156 They could put up a good fight and still lose 3-0. Like, if Stones is fit he is only imperious with a Rodri in front of him. Stones is not an all-round great defender like Van Dijk, but more of an all-round great player. Some of their defenders could play 8-9/10 performances and still lose 3-0.
City getting a result is possible, but you are looking at 10-12/10 player performances most likely
Honestly mate some of the stuff he's came out with here. Baffling
