Scott Sinclair did the art for this video. I love his work. What I like just as much as his work is Hot Water Music's work. Score for 2 amazing things in one place!
Aahhh good to visit this again after so long.I bought this CD a year later of it's release.I remember staying up all night listening to it over and over while trying to get mud off of my grip tape.Fun times.
"healing takes some time" - I think its about wanting the quick fix, the 'remedy', whether that's drugs or alcohol, instead of truly facing whats wrong in our lives, or 'stripping the gauze for a rational self analysis'
This album actually came out in 2002, so, uh, 22 years ago. Brings back great memories and still a great track. The mixing is so good. Love that snare tone. I hope people continue to come back to this for another 22 years.
I need a remedy of diesel and dust Something I can taste with the things I can trust Another high, more potent than lust Eating and repeating like the working of rust and time I woke to the sound and the rhythm of rain Dancing down on the windowpane Comatose, eyes half-closed Arms wrapped up with the wounds all sewn I'm froze from head to toe Clenched the jaw, then felt my body roll over slow I must live to know Healing takes some time So no, no regrets, no looking back on sinking ships So I'll strip the gauze for a rational…
self analysis I'm down, cut and bound Counting scars and counting blessings loud So loud I must live to know that time alone is always (No regrets or falling fits) Healing as long as there's bleeding (I'll strip the gauze and bleed it)
have loved this song for awhile and never seen the video. the green screen behind the band reminds me of the a ha take on me video. animation is hard to pull off in a music video but this is good.
Aw man, an amazing gritty Punk band in the wrap of the final throes of the old Music Video... How quickly all that fell apart, and I will always love HWM, but this is't how I'll remember them. Live at the Hardback is how I'll remember.
i found out about these guys because they're going on tour with make do and mend. both of them are great bands. oh and you should probably check out make do and mend if you like these guys.
Are these guys brothers, or what? They look identical. If they are brothers, I think it’s pretty cool that they’re able to set aside whatever sibling rivalry they have, to make cool songs like this.
Yes it is? Melodic Hardcore, which IS punk. There are many different types of punk music. Folk Punk, Celtic Punk, Hardcore Punk, Melodic Hardcore, Metal Punk, Cowpunk, Punk 'N' Roll, Riot Grrrl, Skate, Ska Punk, Skacore, Oi, Garage Punk, Punk Jazz, Psychobilly, etc.
well..if it makes you feel better, i heard of this band because of that game but it didn't stop me from actually buying more their stuff. but i do overplay the hell out of this song just cuz it brings me back to my poser skater days.
>green texting i'm just using it a device to quote. it's understood on the internet as someone like you apparently, so i easily got the point across that i was quoting his post.
Life is about having things to give a shit about. Life is about learning what things you truly do give a shit about through losing them. Life is about trying to find greater versions of the things you know you give a shit about. Which is why the rich and powerful are making music, while the poor and desperate are on TH-cam arguing about the music.
@Balls0McCoy 3 really amazing bands...but yeah dude, its crazy, cause i used to play the tony hawk games before i ever got into punk. so after i started liking punk and went back and played one of them and bad religion was playing, i was like "oh shitttt"
@TheVeggieMonstah amen. haha nearly all of my favourite bands i know because of TH games :P NOFX bad religion, rise against, the list goes on... pretty sure those games got me into punk music hahaha
@oreoh8r2006 Thanks for the clarification, and I think we all mainly listen to music that we like - unless a GF or relative is involved. =) That seems rather ubiquitous to say, but you described your satisfaction in music in general as non--mainstream or conformist, and that's fine, just wondering.

Tell me about it, im class of 05.
One of the sickest songs I've ever heard from a video game and anywhere else :)
this upload deff deserves a high-res update. doesnt have to be 4K like the New Noise video, at least 480p would be nice
this. only other upload i can find with better quality is a dailymotion one.
@@Fromagreatheight I have an Epitaph promo DVD with this music video on it. I might rip it and upload it to my second channel.
@@ShOscar do itttt please

the green screen behind the band reminds me of the a ha take on me video.
animation is hard to pull off in a music video but this is good.
Is that Chuck Regan? Wow, I have never heard of this band to be honest, but I love Chuck's Folk music, and this also kicks ass.
1:27 and 2:09....the most organic vocals ever...just plain fucking classic.
Riding in vans with boys! best ever
Riding in vans with boys brought me here.

God... in the past.... so beautiful

Maryland Drum Company represent!
Hot Water Music, filled with so much win.
When I heard this in THUG I pictured the singer as having long hair. Shows what I know.
So it's not just me? Thank God.
Ryan Geoghagan He actually does have somewhat long hair now, but this was filmed over a decade ago. lol
He usually has longer hair and a beard. So, you are basically right.
+Ryan Geoghagan i expected him to have a buzzed haircut and piercings all over or liberty spikes for a mohawk. looks like we were both wrong xD
Haircuts are certainly my favourite thing about punk rock.
Not heard this in years, i think it was on the first atticus sampler? 2002?
@stinkyloot138 As i recall i never said it did, however, fashion DOES have something to do with what music is popular.
awsome
straight up!

you should take these 200,000 views and view the other hwm songs..
@HipHopCypher That was my first thought too!

2021. Still cranking this up
this is chuck, alachua is chuck, and not for anyone is chris. the way to usually tell them apart is chuck's voice is more rough than chris.
kickass
@Metal7771 Yes
aw man this song brings back memories
THUG - best game ever
Tom Gabel from Against Me! brought me here... thanks Tom!
@Balls0McCoy 3 really amazing bands...but yeah dude, its crazy, cause i used to play the tony hawk games before i ever got into punk. so after i started liking punk and went back and played one of them and bad religion was playing, i was like "oh shitttt"
The only comment I've thumbed up in over a year.
Of course
@shadowlordbamf THUG is Tony Hawk's underground, a game this song was in.
Thank god for tony hawk games. Thats what got me into most of the music i listen to today.
Oh yes thug brought me here nostalgia aww😃
God you would hate the first several 7"s splits and LPs that made these guys legends then.
Nostalgia!
is this the band that is signed to rise records now?
I NEED A LEMONADE, WITH CHEESE IN THE DUST! XD
@Metal7771 yep
Yes.
@HipHopCypher I played THUG AIM, the second part of that game
I love you.
@holyjebus50 Not to correct you in front of your peoples or anything, but I think there might've been a couple bands before them.
i'm not gonna lie, i found this in a video game, but the video game didn't get me addicted to anything chuck ragan and chris wollard made
haha who'S going to southside i didn't know they were playing but i'm gonna be there
I've loved this song for so long and I had no idea it had a cool ass super weird music video. Shame on me.
@TheVeggieMonstah amen. haha nearly all of my favourite bands i know because of TH games :P NOFX bad religion, rise against, the list goes on... pretty sure those games got me into punk music hahaha

chuch ragan sounds like ja rule, this is not criticism, i love HWM
@EatYerDamnWheaties this song was on my first cd ever, epic :)
Tony Hawk and Flat Out have made my taste in music
Chuck Ragan!!!
They were on Tony Hawk twice in a row. I think Rodney Mullen was from Gainesville, so he could be why they were on the game.
Rodney mullen saucy
Lemmy Koopa literally nothing to do with it. Epitaph sync’d a lot of their artists for gaming publishers like a Activision and EA
@TheVeggieMonstah Hell yeah they doo!
@detritusvibes ololol wtf? They play this year in Germany at the "Southsidefestival?!
