Why Cowboy Is The Most IMPORTANT Tower In Roblox TDS

- Out of every tower in all of Roblox TDS, the Cowboy has got to be one of, if not the most, influential towers throughout the entire history of the game. We have a long story to tell as we break down what made Cowboy special in shaping himself and the game today.
Along the way, there have been many beneficial additions, removals, and reworks applied to Tower Defense Simulator that were caused by the likes of Cowboy. However, the evolution of Cowboy did not just bring sunshine and rainbows into the game. Lots of controversy also rose as well which caused conflict between the fanbase and the developers.
Now, Cowboy was not the only tower that created this much influence. Other towers such as Gladiator could be argued to have created a greater effect on this community as a whole. But, in this video, we will argue why Cowboy is considered the most important tower in Roblox TDS.

Exactly. A money making tower that you need to beat badlandsII which is easily top three hardest modes AND painfully grind that 50k for the golden skin should definitely be leagues better than the money making tower you can get after playing a few rounds

I never really progressed in old tds, I just got the John tower, asked the randos where'd the swat vans come from, and then I left.

from what i recall, you could get the cowboy from another map before it was soley locked to badlands, i actually remember getting it from the other map that was western themed, that being end of the line
yeah that map was way easier too, and you didn't have to beat it on insane mode (fallen)

I got cowboy a few days before polluted and all of those new special game modes came out, and I’m so happy I did so, even though the new version was probably easier, but at least I didn’t have to worry about eye balling the new gamemode.
I remember getting cowboy at the Easter update and asking everyone to help me beat badlands lol

The cowboy has been one of my favourite towers, especially when it was the first golden tower i got in 2020, the same year i joined.
I still remember beating it with randoms in end of the line with crook spam, good times

I remember beating the original badlands map and getting the kasodus cowoy from the code it was very nostalgic! My main tower was john. I just spammed it with it's ability since I didn't have any good tower back then. My friends carried me and now I carry my friends :)

the more recent g cowboy update made it so he shoots faster than a norma cowboy and also has to shoot more times for a money shot to compensate the very high fire rate

Video felt rushed in the Bl2 part. You forgot golden perks golden cowboy, how broken bl2 gc and nc was, their roles in solo hardcore, which is one of the most important things, the small nerfs gc keeps receiving, the huge nerf nc and gc got, the small buff gc got, and the current buffs gc and nc has. You also forgot Hardcore Testing Cowboy, which has the worst stats for cowboy history. And how golden cowboy before the cash drops was considered mid.
You also forgot the skin history too. You just forgot it exists until like bl2 then you only mentioned badlands cowboy and simply just said "3 new skins" Without showcasing what these new skins are

Badlands 2 is gonna get a custom wave layout due to the challenge maps being added in the classic event, so after that it will definitely be the last hurrah to bl2 amd cowboy
honestly that's what is missing from the special gamemodes, they should be gamemodes on their own

Man, I miss the cowboy having a gatling gun. Im pretty sure why they changed it was because the game was already chock full of low-damage high-firerate towers like Soldier, John, Minigunner, Turret, etc. And perhaps with the gatling gun, he looked too similar to Minigunner on the field.
Still, would be nice to get a skin someday that changes it back, I dont care if the animation of the gatling gun doesn't actually match his firerate lol.

Hmm, Before Bdl2 I remember when Golden Cowboy got a buff that allowed him to produce the cash at level 0 and maybe dps buff.
I remember when gold cb got released and by the easter event it was everywhere and i was SO fed up of seeing it, til i got it. Then i used it to death!

Wasnt PW2 the first gamemode using the modifiers? using both the nuclear and mutations modifier (its the reason its called that).

kinda sad that i cant get money from mystery enemies anymore with cowboy since the second i get a mystery lead boss then its basically raining money, but now i gotta manually change the targeting on some of the cowboys so now the other cowboys are going to have to miss out on getting cash while the other ones get nothing and i end up not getting enough cash for certain upgrades to deal with later waves, man i hate reasonably justified balances for a certain tower to be good at what its supposed to do to then become worse at what its intended purpose of use is :(

When i got the old cowboy back when,before the rework,its quite useless but after the rework,its my goto early game

I played TDS ever since it started but I never knew there were events so I never got any event tower in the og days but it was fun to play as the parrot party dancing in lobbies was better than the games itself

First time I played this game was in 2020 for egg hunt and the second time I played it was in 2024 for The Hunt….
oh and btw, the current cowboy doesn't have cash shot anymore, it gives cash per burst of 6 {12 at level 4+}
G cowboy actually got a change, he is now 600 cash so you CAN place him round one!

Took me many time to try beat the og one but still fail despite how difficult due to lane spawn for the enemy, total confused and got it when it got massive change to badlands we know now.
