Except for the fact that the CHARACTER is actually afraid.
He's literally supposed to be a vessel. Such clear emotion in his eyes shouldn't exist.
even if its slightly (Not slightly much more) non canonical it adds since according to lore the vessel cannot experience emotion

@@aggromango534 i think that was the point to become the pure vessel to stop the Radiance we NEED the Void Heart Charm. That’s why I think the Dream No More ending is going to be the one Silksong starts from(due to us either needing to watch a cutscene of Hornet fighting The Hollow Knight, Escaping The Black Egg, or pissed off in Hallownest that The Knight decided to prolong the stasis)

its cool becasue there was originally 4 mantis lords but one of them took the infection willingly to become stronger and now hes a boss in queens gardens so the fact there is a 4th BROKEN chair is just a fine touch to detail i mean alot of people miss it i didnt even recognise it untill my second play through@@taffles7498

Absolutely and without even a shadow of a doubt, one of the - if not THE - best Hollow Knight animations I've EVER seen. I adore how your art style makes the Knight's eyes so huge and full of innocence (and how that's later contrasted by the infection filled eyes of the broken vessel), the seamless transitions, the absolutely STUNNING aesthetic of Grimm - the pacing for which was incredible, btw - and most of all the more traversal based frames, like the one with the stag. GREAT WORK!
I have never seen the experience of two-dimensional combat so well made. Into a three-dimentional animation.

@@synxxco heh me too but you don’t always have to fight the bosses. Trust me the bosses are hard but fun you won’t even know your getting better while playing cause you having so much fun. I use to be so bad but now I can no hit easier bosses and fight against bosses in a harder place where there buffed. There are also many places to explore it is a great feeling discovering a place getting the reward and marking it down to remember it by. I find Hallow Knight less tedious to farm for stuff and actually kinda fun. Sure it’s hard but the fun you will have and the items you get from exploring will lighten the load. If you want you could even ask me and I would be glad to help. Of course this is your choice I just want you to know what you would be in for.
Do it, my child. Buy the game, and play it.
Damn lots of peer pressure, but seriously; this type of game isn't usually my style but HK is my favourite game of all time :) it's super fun and cute and nice to just explore after you've done your first run through

This was amazing, it’s absolutely gorgeous and fully encapsulates what Hollow knight is like in its short run time.
this is so cool! the knight's eyes are so big and they are adorable ahh
actually scratch that, all the characters are so cute in your style
the animation is really smooth and you put effort into adding shots from different angles. all the memorable battles and npcs in the game are here. i like how the map was drawn, it's pretty funny
most people haven't really noticed but the sfx is on point.
to top off all of this, the animation is fully colored and shaded. you must have put so much effort into it. bravo!!!

Maybe I'm seeing things, but it looks like the Knight's swings in the colosseum are more reluctant and tired, as if he's just fought his way through a large amount of enemies back to back. Love the animation!

How did you made that background rotation in 0:32? It's so great!
Looks like it's several layers of drawings in a 3d program.
The ground image lays flat, y'know, like ground, and is actually rotating. The edges of this ground are surrounded by a curved drawing of rocks and plants, also rotating.
And the far background seems to consist of the stone tower thing, simply sliding across the screen, and a couple blurred trees in the back ground, sliding at a different speed to sell the illusion better.
You could just have several layers and move them at different speeds in parallax to make it look like a rotation

I slowed it down to check, they used Hornets cloak to transition. It looks so seamless probably because of the color similarities in Hornet's cloak and Grimm's cloak.
I have rewatched this amazing piece of art many times.

Watching this for the 5th time over rn. The level of detail you put into this is insane. The cutting between the different scenes to fit with the music is perfect.
