- So two days ago we got a list of films shortlisted for India's Official entry for #oscars
While the list had some deserving and at the same time pretty Shocking names at the same times, what finally got selected was not something any of us expected
At the end it was #laapataaladies directed by #kiranrao that made it into the film shortlisted to represent India at the Oscars
But was it really the best we had? Did some films got robbed of a potential as well as opportunity?
We'll discuss that in this video

I wanna share one of my thought about this Lapata Ladies... I dont know if anyone think about it or not.... Novie badiya hai.. but think abt that why they choose Ghunghat as the story base which is almost disappear from the Hindu society.. but Muslim burqa is very prominent even in the big cities like Hydrabad and many other places in India... Why they did not choose Burqa to create the story which is very relevent all over the world? My thought.. Kiran and Aamir khan are the people they never do anything to work kn muslim society issue... but it is easy to target on other people.... So do sound like relegious bised? ya phir kuch agenda hai yahan in logo ko.... Ab socho... World level pe ... People will see Ghughat sync with Hindus ???

It will run against other Hollywood films for same category

The GOAT Life, Thangalan, And Maidaan Should Have Been Submitted To Oscars All Were Excellent Films. Plus Kalki 2898 AD Could've Have Been Submitted In The Production/Set Design Criteria And The Music Production Criteria.
If a movie is not popular in USA or worldwide, it is very difficult to get into oscars. With due respect I say, Maharaja is only popular in India and also, it has very similar themes with Oldboy and Incendies.
