Here I review Noodler's El Lawrence. It is a Green-Brown ink. I compare it to 365 other inks tested on its viscosity and dry time, results are shown on a bell curve.
    Writing sample is at 3:05
I think Diamine Grey would be a great complement to the color on the page. I also give my thoughts on Noodler's El Lawrence, all of the opinions are my own.
I used a Pier Cardin President with a M nib to take my notes for this video. If you want, you can also follow me on Instagram: / aninkguy

This doesn’t mean I think the best complement is in itself a great ink, just that it is a nice complement color.

DO NOT contact anyone on telegram (or any other social media) claiming to be me. I am not running giveaways and I will not ask you for money. They are scammers and spammers, and they want to steal your money and personal information.

Wow! This is been my favorite daily ink for over a year-2 bottles. I consider black boring and El Lawrence promised to be a black that had redeeming qualities. Your review caused me to immediately go back to my Pelikan 600 double broad that I keep inked with El Lawrence and do a writing sample. Not now, nor have I ever seen this clear amount of green hue. My writing has always been a dark black with sometime green or yellow sheen dependent upon absorbency of paper. I have also had less trouble with staining than with other document quality ink. It’s almost like we have two different formulas. Thanks for the thoroughness of your work. Not since the beloved work of VittaR have we seen this type of in depth analysis.

I have heard very different views of how people see the color. I didn't care for what I got, but there is always a chance mine is off. The Pelikan double broad is very wet and very broad, it might affect the tone a bit, but I don't think it would affect what I tested that much.
I wish this showed as a black with green undertones, I could get on board with it then.
My hope is to be lucky and be just 1/2 as good as VittaR . I miss her reviews.

I think there is a lot of variation in the different batches of El Lawrence ink. My bottle is definitely less green and more black. I appreciate your videos on ink! Thank you for posting!

I have heard of people talking about differences in batches.

This is currently my #1 ink, and I was very surprised by this review. This doesn't even look like the same ink as what I'm using, and it's getting frustrating with how much variation there is between the different batches of Noodlers. I recently bought a 54th Massachusetts bottle that seems much more watery than one I bought 10 years ago, so it seems to be an issue across others. I think it would be worth a re-review if you could get one of the newer batches of this ink that's much darker and more viscous than the one you reviewed here.

In the past I had considered doing some re-reviews but had passed on the idea, perhaps I should reconsider it.

What is haloing, anyway? It must rare because you’ve never said an ink exhibits haloing in the many videos I’ve watched. Can you think of an ink you’ve done that did halo? It would be great to see what it’s like! Thank you.

Halo is when there is a darker outline around the outer edge of the letters. Often a sheening ink will have halo

Don't dump ink! Gift it to a subscriber, host a competition for it, trade it, pass out or sell samples, etc.

This ink is long gone, lol. Video is a couple years old. But had I been able at the time to find someone that wanted it I would have given it to them.

I like the idea of a permanent green ink, but I am with you, this color just doesn't do it for me.

I love the bottle design and wish that this hit the mark for me. Not bad, just not for me.
