Its called a Hub Bearing and your ABS light issue is usually a speed sensor its normally inc. with the new Hub Bearing. Its highly recommended to replace hub bearings in pairs. Front CV axels in 4 x 4 s10s are ok w replacing just 1. I suggest you replace the hub bearing and the cv axel on the other side asap with the same part manufacturer. Nice truck.
Love the S10 man, just got an RC 2.5" kit on my '01 ZR2 Blazer and I love it. When I got the kit put on I put new CV axles at the same time(Walmart had both sides for like $50ish each). The blazer sits at 39" in the front and 38" in the back, def makes them have a nicer stance.
Me gusta tu camioneta donde puedo conseguir las cantoneras que tienes yo tengo una camioneta blaze viejita 95 4x4 te felicito está muy chingona mi bonita tu camioneta
Hey man. Love the build. I know I'm a little late seeing this video, but I was going to see what you think of the lift now that it's been on for a while. I have always heard to stay away from a rough country lift because they are pretty cheap and you get what you pay for, but there's not many other options for this size of lift out there for the ZR2. Just curious what you're thinking about it.
I have a 03 sonoma crew cab . and a 2 1/2 rough country lift was installed by my self . now both cv boots are leaking grease . i put one new boot to the pasenger side .after a week its holding good . the driver side i am doing just the clamp .and see if it holds ..i should it done only the clamp on pasenger side .the boot was good .and too much work .. I will see if changeing just the clamp fix the problem
Can you tell me what was the actual name of that kit? What else aside from that kit should I anticipate? I've got an s10 4x4 crew cab with a 3 inch lift. What size tires? Thanks. Nice truck.
What did you do suspension or body left? Please comment back and let me know the name of your product that you used thank you. I have the same exact truck a two thousand and one chevy s ten pad z r two package
This kit still uses the torsion bar.. I had a shop take care of that part for me.. I wanted no part of messing with them.. since then I’ve sold the truck and now have a ZR2 Colorado
I hope you have good luck with the kit. I have had mine in for 2 years now and I'm taking it out next week. Blown cv axles, huge incline angle on the tie rods, rough ride and funny tire wear are the reasons why. Not saying it isn't for everyone, but it wasn't for me. Good luck with the entire truck build. Looks great! P.s. I'm subscribed lol
Thanks man! I guess I’ll give it a try and see how this works out. I’ll keep updating on the durability... tested it out today and it did well. I hope it lasts lol
Dude man, I went ahead and ditched my 2.5 lift and went with the RC 6" bracket kit and it is a night and day difference! My opinion, I wouldn't have even wasted my time on the 2.5" kit. Not knocking your truck, just wanted to share my experience with the suspensions. P.s, do some more videos!
What size tire are you running. I bought a 2000 zr2 about 3 months ago. Its has a 3inch body lift that I was going to take off but decided against it. I'm going to add a RC lift since they are in my home town. I'm running 31x10.50
@Travis Campbell I know you may not see my message, but I am thinking about getting the same 2.5 Rc Lift for my 2000 S-10. Have you ran into any major problems ever since you lifting your truck? Let me know. Thank you.
I have a zr2. He is right they are reliable. Abs and engine light been on 40xxx miles already. 201,404 miles on mine. Anyone know about the gauge clusters? I tried putting a stereo in it positive and negative touched sparked didn't fry the radio but no dash Cluster now..
This kit came rough country.. it was the 2.5 inch with a diff drop. They run about 500. I got a shop to help me out for 480. I had it installed for 450
How much was this body left I have the same exact truck and this thing looks nice minds up high but 2" higher would be nice Please Comment back thank you Now do they have a light bar like that rack that you have on your truck or no Please let me know
Hey man, love the channel. I recently bought an ‘03 S10 ZR2 and have done a shackle and key lift and was wondering how your CV axles and boots are holding up? First day I drove the truck around after installing it my drivers side CV boot started slinging grease as well so I was just curious how your setup is holding up. Thanks in advance for any responses!
So far it’s been great ! I busted a boot from previously wheelin. I don’t think it was from the actual lift. It’s been 3 months now. I hope I’m good for awhile !
Hey man i'm 15 buying my first truck would you recommend it? I want a truck thats decent at off roading because we rip up fields and stuff where I live lol. Does it still have decent power after the wheels tires and lift?
It’s a great starter truck. Try to find one with less than 100k miles. It will last you a long time. Just try to be nice to that 4L60. The rest of the truck is tough
Just discovered your Channel bout 2 days ago. Really like the content first video I watched was the “1 year owning the s10” liked it. I’m trynna trade my 01 Deville for either a 4door s10 or s blazer. I had a blazer in high school and miss that SOB. Love the channel
Travis Campbell thanks for the reply. Yeah i had just bought some bilstiens 5100s but i needed that diff drop bracket so i had to buy the rc 2.5”. Only a 1” difference from the size of the shock from ride height. Anyways keep posting videos! Thanks!
Super jealous your ZR2 is already an inch higher then my standard 4 by 4 with a 2 inch body lift and a full torsion crank and 3 inch shackles. Looks awesome man when I got my truck as soon as I crank the torsion my boot started to do the same thing I had to replace the CV axles as well.
Dude, they broke your CV boot at the shop you used to put the lift in. They just didn't tell you and you probably didn't ask or check the CV boot before you left the shop. They shafted you there. That's the main reason why I do all my own repairs when I can and when I do use a shop, I thoroughly check before getting in the car or I stand there and watch if possible.
I finally broke down and bought the two upper control arms from rough country to get a little bit more height the stock upper control arms will only let you go so far!! I already had aftermarket torsion keys and longer shocks
Well hell, I sit right at 38+ 39..and I haven't even SOA or control arm or body lift or added spring, or welded or spent any money..guess my ZR2 just came factory bigger than yours 😉..good lookin rig...I steer towards superlift if I went taller. No offense/personal preference(I'd rather spend another 1000 to have what I want, rather than "get what I can afford right now ") waiting is best imo, it'd be like getting summit brand wheels when ya really wanted vision. Except worse lol... but you ever make it to NC we can for sure hit my trails, im only on 33s but I hang with big jeeps 40+ so I still look better doing it haha, and , I mean, who else can pull them out other than a ZR2??? Let's be real here..again ; great looking rig brother 👍
I see this videos almost a year old now, how's it holding up after 10 months? I have a zr2 as well that I'm planning on lifting in the spring

My dad died in 2014 he had a stock blazer I wanted to lifted now I brought a 90 blazer lifted 4x4 you killed this build bro

Agreed ! This is about the best way to “safely” lift the truck without doing a body lift.
Your truck is sick. Can’t wait till this summer when I can start modding my zr2.
Thanks man! Hopefully going to overland the truck this summer

Truck looks awesome man I miss Tennessee so much lol.
Wish I could send you pics of my rig. You were a big inspiration for my build!
nice i have the same 2.5 lift kit from rough country on my 1991 chevy s10 and 31 inch tires
That songs pretty accurate in the intro.. I do want something like this lol I love those fuel wheels. Looks good with the lift too
Thanks man !
Did the kit lift the rear also? How did it lift the rear (springs, shackles, & shocks)?
Can you tell me what was the actual name of that kit? What else aside from that kit should I anticipate? I've got an s10 4x4 crew cab with a 3 inch lift. What size tires? Thanks. Nice truck.
Thanks it’s just the 2.5” lift from rough country. Running 32x11.50x15s
What kind of bullbar did you put on there? its really fye
It’s an NFAB prerunner bar
What did you do suspension or body left? Please comment back and let me know the name of your product that you used thank you. I have the same exact truck a two thousand and one chevy s ten pad z r two package
What did you do with the torsion bar. I own a 03 zr2 and can't remove the torsion bar
This kit still uses the torsion bar.. I had a shop take care of that part for me.. I wanted no part of messing with them.. since then I’ve sold the truck and now have a ZR2 Colorado

Did you find a kit for your zr2. Looking for one and have been told they do might make one for the zr2 models

What front bumper is that???
How has it held up since? Considering the 2in or the 2.5 would be cool to know the longevity of the truck so far?
So far it’s been great ! I can’t complain I have a trip planned for the key west in May
What shocks come in the kit ? And looks awesome man wanting to do the same with my 03 zr2 and ad a 2 itch body lift
It’s rough country shocks also. A tad longer than stock. Thanks !!
I'm getting a 94' Sonoma and from what I've heard they're basically the exact same as an S10, so will this kit likely fit on my Sonoma?
Yes they are the “ high rider” package. All the same underneath
@@DAGOLFER34 thx a lot! Time to do some shopping I suppose
Where did you find the lift kit? I can't find lifts anywhere for my '03 S10 Zr2. Please let me know! Thanks!

Jonathan Zellmer cool man ! So far it’s stiffer other than that it’s great.

It was an 8 hour job
What size wheels and tires do you have?
What kind of bumper is that
hey travis can you add a link with the lift in the comments so i can get it thanks in advance love the video
Thanks ! I don’t have a link but it’s on 4 wheel parts or you can go to rough country’s site and follow the year / make / model
Will that RC 2.5” lift work with a crew cab s10 zr5 4x4?
I called RC but they said no. Have you found anything as far as a lift? I have a zr5 also
What is the length of the shocks? That would help me a lot thank you
I honestly don’t know.. it came with RCs kit and I didn’t measure them prior to install

What CV axle brand did you go with? I recently installed a duralast brand in my 05' Colorado.
I used a GSP axle this time
How's that duralast cv held up for you? I'm planning on swapping with a duralast as well.
