I know I said this on discord, but I loved that you discussed your mod and why it didn't work out. There really are so many modders that put up edited videos and magically everything works, but the reality is not every mod goes as planned. The fact that you pulled back the curtain and were brave enough to show that is amazing! Keep up the awesome work brother!

Fr tho, love the videos. Great message, people think if you can mod a pcd you're some kind of prodigy, but its really just time on task. Learning from your mistakes. I've broken a lot of shit, and theres still more to break, but thats part of the fun (kindof).
But I do actually have a question for you... how did you plan to fit it in the shell? Would you trim the motherboard? I've seen Xipher pull it off by printing a custom back plate, but he doesnt have any documentation on how he fit the board. Even the GBC looks too small because the bottom is rounded. I have a stack of dsi/dsl boards that I would like to try this with, so anything you could tell me would help. Much appreciated, and keep up the good work! I'll hit the like/sub on my way out

@@nissutobor9078 thank you so much for watching, and apprecting the messages, thank you so much.
So, after I trimmed the ds, I also trimmed the inside of the GBP, I didn't have a full plan on how to close it, since I had to remove all screw holes. I've seen someone do it where they made a 3d printed spacer and that was how they closed it. With the ds trim and the trim of the inside walls, I was basically working with pressure to keep the motherboard in place, and was probably going to have to rely on glue to keep the shell closed, but I didn't get that far. I think this same project is very feasible Inside a gameboy color shell. Or a dmg shell for super easy.

Theres basically zero information on how to trim a ds lite motherboard, and I've seen enough people talk about attempting this mod, but not a lot of people who have finished... And the people who have successfully finished it are pretty tight lipped about it, because they sell them. Now, I don't know much about PCB schematics... I just know how to solder things to points that seem intuitive. If I could ask you one thing though, how did you fry the board? Was it a result of trimming/ lost assets on the board?
