There is an amazing recipe called "oat clusters". You mix up around 10 tablespoons of oats, a mashed banana, a pinch of cinnamon and some honey or agave sirup. Then you put everything in a heated pan with some coconut oil, so it doesn't stick. It will form in clusters and when it's done you can put in a bowl with some more banana, some berries and peanutbutter before you add any type of milk you want. It is really tasty! I make it all the time.
i love all your videos and they halp me so much. u r doing so so well rain. dont give up and keep fighting. i know its hard cos im struggling too and i know how bad it can really get but u can do this and u deserve a life without anorexia. you r getting stronger each day and each day u r becoming more u. i am genuinely so proud of u for every single thing youve got through in your recovery and how far youve come xxx
Peanut butter/Cashew butter is nice on porridge, as is banana and maple syrup, those "Whitworths fruit shots" sachets are also handy to liven up a bowl of porridge (basically just different dried fruits and milk or white chocolate pieces/biscuit pieces or there's a maple and fudge one which is nice)? Aww Olile really wants to be in your videos!!! Bless him!! Yay well done for challenging the soup and bread, you totally smashed it 🙌💪❤️ There's no shame in struggling and needing a bit of extra support sometimes. It will go sweetie. Keep challenging and repeating until you create new neural pathways. The neural rewiring part is so hard and often still needs working on way after weight restoration so don't give up hope. In reality you haven't been in "real recovery" for that long so don't be hard on yourself. It is always so tempting to go backwards at this stage as it feels like all the hard work gaining weight hasn't helped but is a sign that you need to continue to nutritionally rehabilitate, get completely out of energy deficit and also continue towards your set point weight. It's all part of a process and you will be so thankful that you didn't give up. Backwards isn't an option and will only bring more anxiety and sadness. Onwards and upwards sweetie 💪❤️ have a great weekend xx
Totally believe in you, I hear you when you say you are struggling though. What you are doing is really hard and painful, be as kind to yourself as you can. x
I am so very proud of you my darling 😘 I know your finding it hard but now is the next stage ❤ . Your an amazing young lady with such a great future ahead of you, your not alone and never will be. Keep fighting, stay stong, but remember it's OK to cry, it's OK not to feel great all of the time. I love you with all my heart ❤ love Mum xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The best way to eat porridge: cooked with salt, topped with butter "eye" and sugar or cinnamon-sugar! This is the most common style here in Finland, works with oatmeal and rice porridge :)
I love to put Nutella, almond butter, banana and strawberries on my porridge. That’s my ultimate fave! If you love apples you could try peeling & cooking down some apples with cinnamon till soft and using that as a topping, I do that too x
My childhood favourite porridge: Banana slices at the bottom of the bowl Porridge on top Banana slices on top Tons of golden syrup Hundreds and thousands Depending on what we had maybe some chocolate chips or a glacé cherry or something I realise it seems really boring now lol but omg it used to be my absolute favourite thing ever 😍
Hey Rain, Please don’t apologise for posting videos where you show that you are still struggling “despite” being at a healthier weight. This is literally only step one of the journey (I wish it wasn’t), and what you are doing in showing this is helping to educate people and change the narrative and treatment for eating disorder patients going forward. You are changing the world by showing these struggles - I hope that gives you some solace? It’s crazy - having been through it myself, weight restoration is the *hardest* thing in the world, and you focus all of your energies into “once I get there it’ll all be ok,” and then the reality of the situation dawns. Biological factors that perpetuate Eds aside, there are almost always emotional / physchological reasons why a person engages in these behaviours in the first place, and these are the things you come up against once you’re not in such a medically compromised position. All the “new rules” are turning up because your brain is trying to create a new safety net for you - the anorexia, that thinks it is helping you, is threatened by your progress in recovery and is trying to “evolve” or “adapt.” This is a strange one, but could you try and look upon the anorexia with kindness and compassion? As something that is trying to help you, but just not doing it in the right way? Acknowledge the desire to do something to make yourself feel better/safer (exercising/self-harming etc), and try to teach that protective part of yourself that there are other things that you can do too. Maybe, in time, and with enough trauma therapy, you can learn that the things you are trying to protect yourself from are no longer here-and-now threats, and/or that you have much more strength / options / support as an adult than you ever did in the past. Unfortunately this stage of recovery is where (I believe) you feel the most exposed and vulnerable, and need the most help and support. It is all too easy to slip back into old ways of asking for help. (“Showing” instead of “telling” or “asking for help”). Please continue to do so. Nobody is going to get fed up with you (definitely not your Mum!!!), and nobody is going to feel as though you are letting them down. It is not fair that you have to deal with such hardship, but some of us are dealt really shitty cards and that’s alright. You have strength beyond anything you could possibly imagine - you just have to let go and allow it. Sending all the love and strength in the world.
Porridge with hot jam AND pour icing sugar ontop (not just icing powder) Banana and hazelnut white chocolate spread (morrison one is lovely) ^ They're my faves atm ^ Not my thing, but my friend has savoury porridge with cheese, sausage, egg and mushrooms
Toppings: Different nuts, coconut flakes, chocolate, different nutbutters, dried fruits, chocolate drops, coconut joghurt, chocolate spreat, sirups, energy bar in small pieces, jam...😘
you should do another what i eat in a week but take the vlogging camera grocery shopping. It can be helpful to see others buying foods that challange them. love you xx
Porridge ideas: White chocolate and raspberry 🍓🤍 Vanilla yoghurt and cinnamon (A cinnamon bun inspired porridge ) 🥐 Millionaire inspired porridge ( chocolate porridge with caramel )
OOP I forgot this was happening ! Always lovely to see such a sunny person (though it’s just as nice to see you get real with us when it’s tough). Quick question- does ur bright wardrobe extend into autumn and winter ? Hope so 👀✨
Your strength is admirable. What are you studying? I don’t have anorexia but I know what it’s like to struggle with body dysmorphia and OCD stuff. It’s the hardest thing to not believe the negative thoughts when they seem sooo much like the truth. You’re smart enough and strong enough to beat this I just know it xx
