I made vlog on lok mela held in Islamabad Pakistan. It represents Punjab, Sindh, Balchistan, Kashmir, Kpk and Gilgit Baltistan culture, songs, dance and traditional food, jewelry and clothes. Heritage Museum لوک ورثہ عجائب گھر also known as Lok Virsa Museum is a museum administered and managed by Lok Virsa National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage . Folk festival, popularly known as Lok Mela is organised by the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage lok Virsa, National Heritage and Culture Division It is a museum of history and culture in Islamabad Pakistan located on the Shakarparian Hills showcasing the living cultures of Pakistan. The museum opened in 1974 and became an autonomous institute in 2002 following the Lok Virsa Legal Status Ordinance, 2002. The museum consists of several buildings as well as an outdoor museum which can accommodate up to 3000 visitors.
This festival provides an opportunity to master artisans, folk artists and folk musicians from all over Pakistan to demonstrate their skills and recognition of their talent at the national level. It also helps ameliorate poverty among master artisans by providing them with an opportunity to sell their products directly to the public without the involvement of middlemen.
