Wow, I'm used to seeing vids with way more people at the quarry. Did you go during the week? Do you know what kayakers do, in terms of shuttling on the gorge? Do they just take the same bus as the tubers, or do they arrange shuttles among themselves? I'm wondering where the put in and take out spots are..can't seem to find info on the site.
Hey Jordan, we got there Saturday and went down the river Sunday. Tubes get sold out on Saturday so you gotta get one early. Never saw any kayakers on the bus, dunno if they are allowed to hitch a ride or not, most likely not.
Most people who are kayaking or canoeing the gorge are members of the Guelph Kayak Club. Shuttling does not involve the Conservation Area, or Authority in general. People are using their private vehicles. If you are interested in joining us, you are welcome to. Please make inquiries with the GKC, who meet at the Elora Lions Park every Wednesday evening and Sunday morning.
