With the announcement of the squad in October 2024 and the build up leading to the world cup, Tayla lands in Colombia with the England team in early November. Tayla's story is one that is very open, very honest and very heart warming, whilst feeling a sense of heart break too.
Tayla's journey hasn't been an easy one - from personal health issues, a struggle of where to turn to, a loss of friends and isolation, to missing out on education and youth, to being hit by covid, to amputation. This story is one that really features the purest form of overcoming the lowest moments in life. In this story we talk about thoughts of suicide, to honest conversations with doctors and a professor, who's work has contributed to saving Tayla's life.
Tayla now talks about her story as she heads out to the world cup, where, there was risk of a health concern upon her decision to return to sporting interests. A keen sports-person, Tayla is now looking forward to being part of a squad and representing her nation in a competitive world cup in 2024.
