(Even though Raul Menedez and his 2025 Drone Attacks were both mentioned which is what set the events of Black Ops III especially the creation of the DEAD system to happen and then the Nova 6 gas appeared in the last mission for Black Ops III called Life. So doubt that they were even listening to both of Jacob Hendricks and Zeyad Khalil’s argument over Raul Menedez in the mission called Rise & Fall or even checking it out in the Safe Houses about the data of Raul Menedez and the aftermath of the 2025 Drone Attacks). So Sledgehammer decided to return it to the time period of World War 2, and then Treyarch decided to return it back in the time period of the Cold War with Alex Mason, Frank Woods, and Jason Hudson returned and with it being between the events of Black Ops 1 and Black Ops II (in the late 1980’s missions), but then those two games also got hated too.

@@Zymemaru look. At the end of life the last mission of the game. The player names himself Taylor since the player died in the first mission phsically so taylor interfaced with the player but it failed since we died at the end of life and taylor has taken his body back.

In the final mission text screen you can see the real Taylor arguing with the doctors that we're not dead yet because we're breathing and not to turn off the machine. The player says they're Taylor at the end because they were replaying his memories and playing the role of Taylor. The forzen forest and corvus was likely the embodiment of death trying to take the player while Taylor (Both the real and dream version) were trying to guide the player out. That's why both versions are telling you to keep fighting and resist corvus and not to give up. The player succeeds and likely wakes up.
Great theme. I actually have a digital copy of the Black Ops soundtrack that came with the Hardened edition. But i just keep forgetting to actually download it. Might as well do it now. :)

I Live is still mostly likely referring to John Taylor being the sole survivor of the team after New Blood died during surgery, Sebastian, Sarah Hall, and Maretti died when coming in contact with Corvus, Kane being poisoned by Nova 6, and New Blood controlling Taylor’s body (with Taylor still alive even afterwards too) shot Hendricks
The thing about dying during your surgery makes sense because on Realistic mode you can hardly survive a bullet to the pinky toe so how the fuck are you supposed to survive getting your limbs ripped off and being beaten senseless by relentless killing machines?
I love this theme, and everything about blops 3. They only thing I DON'T like is that David Mason or at least one of his sons or something like that didn't return. The feel of the campaign was cool, but the fact that the Masons didn't return takes away from that.
