I don't use Lumion but this tutorial is so well thought out and executed. I have to commend you for the work here, this is a gold mine for individuals wanting to create scenes like these. I think the biggest take away here is you're diving into some very important fine detail aspects that really most tutorials glaze over. There is nothing more important than imperfection.
Thank you so much! I've only been using Lumion for exterior renders but this helps so much with my interior render output. Really commend your effort into making this video and the very concise and spot on explanations on how effects work.

Great tutorial!! Could you please tell me how to get 3D objects with material? They always come without material, which is pretty bad... Maybe the download file needs a certain file fromat? Thank you! Best Alina
Which software are you using? If you have them in 3ds Max, you can use Lime Exporter plugin to get them in FBX format with all the textures available inside Lumion.
Just tried Lumion - it works great on my PC and since I'm not 3D artist - I played a bit with multiplatform app that is more like a game (Home Design 3D) and has very nice realtime edits and bunch of objects (over 2.500?) for full version (that is ~20$ on each platform). Full version made me export my home (I recreated just for fun) as .obj file - so - can I import full house I've made into Lumion and make it look as much as realistic as it can be? (There's video on my page, but for some reason recording had correct colors while export from Adobe Premiere changed colours to some weird pallette...?) My idea was to create realistic walk-through (as I can do in original app) with reflections and especially lights (that does not exists in original app so I had to make some 2D tricks with transparent layers to look like lights are present)... It would be perfect if I can make my home as a game level played in Unreal engine :-)
Nuno Nuno!!! 😀 Doing the Lord's work. Great job as always 👏👏👏 💯. Quick question, ive always found that flipping the normals makes the object look more realistic until I downloaded a 3d asset from megascans and discovered that flipping the normals wasn't good. Is it because the asset was modeled pretty well and didn't need the normal flipped or has megascans "fixed" their normal textures?
Hola @nuno silva, do you sell lumion presets? I tried your recommendations for render effects and it looked great! I would love to see the other effects you normally use.
