Because of her husband’s availability, Michelle only had two years to get her nursing degree. She talked with an academic advisor who helped her determine what requirements she needed to fulfill. She says she knew she wanted to go into nursing and had already taken some prerequisites along with her associate’s degree. Thanks to the various start dates and the 16-month length of the program, Michelle applied on time and fit her studies within her two-year goal.
“I sent him all of my unofficial transcripts, and he went through him and he was like, Yeah, you're, you're good to go,” Michelle says.
Kahla’s GPA was not the best a couple of years ago, she says, but she worked hard while getting her prerequisites to raise it. Her academic advisor mentioned that her military and medical experience would improve her nursing application. Through her determination and her advisor’s guidance, she was able to apply on time to start her desired academic term.
“I worked with someone that was amazing. He got me set up and he helped me stay on track throughout the entire admissions process,” says Kahla.
