Good evening and thanks for the shout out! Loved the vid. I'm just back in after a few days in Knoydart (Glenfinnan to Inverie). I didn't film it as had Mrs Sniper and Bumble the wonder dog joining me. You did well not to use the train this weekend, it was a nightmare trying to get back. If you fancy catching up and plotting something over the coming weeks just let me know.
It's been really lovely, watching your soothing experience again, Jim. Threw me back on the Coway Way, which was quite a good feeling. I could almost smell the fresh water-soaked air and the breeze. Next time in Scotland i'll definitely bring a tent with me. And PS: concerning the breakfast, we're very much on the same page! :-D Keep up the good stuff, providing us with those little escape pods from every day life - which is not too bad in the end, but you know what i mean. Really appreciated. Cheers to you, Henning from Leipzig.
Henning, how are you? Thank you for visiting.. I'm pleased you enjoyed the video. I was only thinking about you recently, wondering how you were doing. It was a nice camp. When you do return, yes bring a tent and we can catch up. Or I'll let you use one of mine if your using guesthouses.. keep well Henning from Leipzig.. 😁 Jim .
Building a bike. Your talents know no bounds Jim. 😉👍 Looked a perfect spot. Cheeky tennents anaw eh. 🍻Another pair of boots. 🙄😉 Thanks for the shout out, if that was aimed at me. 😆 My wife's sunglasses, no girlfriends 😉 That was a proper breaky. 🤤Just catching up on YT. Covid finally got us. Been a pretty rough week but the mend. 🤒😷
Sorry Kev.. I meant wife - honest. Don't want to get you in to bother 😜. COVID got you? I hope you both feel better soon pal. I've managed to dodge it so far. Hope you get back oot soon. Jim. 😎
Great video's again Jim nice and clear well edited always full of information. Always check them out full of great ideas and great locations, ta for noo catch back up with you again soon I'm sure. PS you do know how to look after yourself, LOL.
Hi Charlie.. cheers pal... There is quite an abundance of very good camping places in and around there... Lovely place to visit.. In fact I must revisit soon. Cheers Charlie. 👍👍👍👍
Good to see you out again Jim. Nice spot by the river there too. The bike is looking great btw. Managed to get a camp on Ben Donich with the hexpeak (2nd time of trying, last time on the summit it was crazy weather!) I'll need to try that tip out with the food pouch 😂 ATB 👍🏻
Ben Donich, haven't been up there for a while Scott. Even with a high start it's a good climb with a full bag. How ya getting on with the tent? I really do like it. ⛺👍
@@BoredManOutdoors I really like it. Had it 2 years now. It has stood up to some terrible weather so I'm confident in it. As you said in the video it has plenty of space, especially if you drop the inner. Maybe not the ultra lightest but you get a great tent for the weight/price.
Looks like you enjoyed that pal, desperate to get out, but too much on, maybe in a cpl of weeks. Really good time for the West Highland ultra thing, big up for that.i think you should go for Gold on the 3 Lochs, but with option to knock it on the head at Arrochar if the weather is rubbish, you can do it 👌 all the best TtT 😎 Ps thanks for the shout out 👍
I find, first night is always a weird night of broken kip no matter how far I did that day. By night 3 I could be a gold medallist Olympic sleeper. Think wine is the way forward too, less volume inside you than with beer. I mostly site camp though, and have a nasty habit of planning routes with each end of day being close to a pub 😂
I'm with you Andy. Look for a pub then a place to camp. 😁. Last couple of camps I've done I've slept very well. Must be getting used to it. Cheers pal. 👍
Very nice video, I like the new bike. I’ve camped at bridge of orchy before but not at that spot it’s a nice area. I’m just back from doing the rob roy way it took me 3 days it was hard going I’m planning on camping somewhere around arrochar this weekend. I’m thinking about the 3 lochs ultra but I’ve never done anything like that before but I might try it. Your videos are great keep it up. Atb Thomas
Cheers Thomas. How long is the Rob Roy Way? Three days sounds good. The Ultra is good - The 50 is a hard finish though. Great achievement for anyone.. I haven't decided on silver yet? 🤷
@@BoredManOutdoors I started fro balloch to Pitlochry so about 88 miles. The start is at Drymen so about 78 miles to Pitlochry I’m tempted to try the ultra I’ve done the three lochs in one day a few months back I think it was 38 miles.
@@T28-m4l The 3 Lochs way - it's a lovely walk - I've done it quite a few times. It gets interesting on the Ultra heading up Glenloin and up over Coiregrogain in the dark 😁. Did you camp the RRW or use alternative accommodation? I'll have to look it up - maybe do it east to west?
@@BoredManOutdoors I camped but it was hard to come by good spots I had to camp in 2 fields and some woods. Also some long stretches of tarmac walking on single track though very quiet.
@@BoredManOutdoors I was camping at coiregrogain in the winter, snow upto my knees. Was like a line where the snow started showing on the ground about halfway on the trail from arrochar. Was like you could step into rain then step back into snow.
Looked like a good camp spot , I'm glad someone else is making use of the empty Summit to Eat packets 😂. Are you still using the jack Wolfskin Exolight tents? I bought the Exolight 1 after watching you use it a while back, I've bought other tents since but it's still one of my favourites. Atb mate 👍
Hi pal. Yes. I used the exolight 2 last weekend up in Glen Nevis a proper palace. I don't really use the exolight 1 much when it's windy. It's not brilliant in windy conditions and this year has been a blustery one. They are both great tents though. I asked JW if they did a three season inner for the e1 but they said no.🤷🤷😎 Cheers 👍
P.s breakfast sausage sarnie needed some Scottish dumpling and ketchup! Now that would be food of the gods... 12 hours kip🤦♂️.. what sleep mat did you have??? 🤔 😆?👍👍
An actual shout out‼️ well I never. From my cloud inversion attempt at Ben Wyvis I've been hit with a severe attack of arthritis (never had before) affecting 'all' me main joints (severe pain and sleepless nights). To hear from GP this morning with blood results and pos definitive diagnosis toooo. Although I'm self diagnosing and treating anyways (as usual). Anyways ~ Max Wall legs have you 😜. Oh and I do like a nice glass of Shiraz 2..... Good to watch.... Watching you cooking those sausages made me V hungry so had to pause your video and do my own b/fast
Hi Frank - I hope the prognosis is good. Pain in all the joints doesn't sound very good at all. 😐. It did make me laugh with the Max Wall gag.. I put them on tuther day, turned to Mrs Bored Man and said 'Good evening'.. she didn't get it.. 😂 I hope you're recovering Frank - Jim. 😇

Always amazed how much kit you have in your rucksack lol. Its like a magic hat! And out comes the frying pan! 😂😂😂
I'm certainly getting better at packing the right things for a camp these days. It's winter when it fills right up and gets heavy. 👍
