    This video was an absolute LIFE SAVER!!! My LG 14,000 BTU was full of mold and I was able to disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble the unit perfectly!!! Also, I now know how and which parts can be replaced. Fantastic!!! I was afraid I was going to have to trash the $600 unit but I was able to clean it so thoroughly it's like new again. Brilliant! Thanks so much for the video!!

      I’m here for exactly the same reason! What did you use to clean it? I’m afraid a bleach solution might be too harsh on some of the parts.

      How much did you disassemble to clean?

    This video is exactly what I was looking for. My LG 15,000 BTU Unit is working but was hardly blowing do to gunk build up in the coils. Now I can remove what I need to in order to clean it. Thanks for making this video. 👍

    Where is the piezo speaker located? I’d like to bridge it to avoid the annoying “beep” sound when you change temperature settings.

    Thank you for this detailed breakdown! Our unit contributed to my pneumonia, so being able to remove and clean almost every moldy part saved us hundreds of dollars!!
    For anyone else that may have mice get in their system, you can use "Stuff that's Great" Window & Door insulation [expanding foaming insulation in a can] to fill in most of the missing foam. Cut the cured foam with a flexible knife (think filet knife) to make your life easy.

      You're welcome! We recommend cleaning this frequently and changing the filter out to prevent dust/dirt/mold buildup. Also, for mice make sure to clean their urine trails or they will keep coming back. Wear rubber gloves and use a bleach solution. Here is a good article to help you: www.orkin.com/pests/rodents/mouse-control/how-to-clean-areas-contaminated-by-mice-infestation

    I wonder if you can answer this question. Does the LG 10000 btu dual inverter (LW10221vsm) have a slight out chassis or pulls out of the frame like the LW22171VCM. I cannot find this information. Thanks Paul

    So I cleaned my 22kbtu with a hose in the wall I told my wife to unplug and watch inside that water didn't come inside. As soon as I said I was done from outside she thought it was OK to just turn on and the unit did for a min now won't run the gfci on the plug is green but nothing. I have an old unit that the face wires from taking off so many times switched and put other front on and works for now. Is there a fuse inside that can be changed ? I opened the white box with circuit board in it pulled it up a little and seen a car looking like 20 amp fuse that seems to be welded together I tried pulling each end off. Any help would be appreciated. Since I have 2 units I thought of taking electrical box off older one and putting on newer one to fix. How hard is that or possible ?

    May I ask on why the wire 11:39 was left out when the circuit box was being reassembled?

    Bending the copper tubing can't be good I would remove shroud and spray out condenser leaving it in place.

    My power is on, display is good, on cool mode, T set to 60F, and the compressor kicks in ok. I observe the evaporator side and only two tubes (right past the split ) become cold (with frost on). The rest of evaporator is not. All other tubes on the evaporator are “warm”.
    Any advice?

    • @JohnGor-ch9tv
      @JohnGor-ch9tv 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I took a picture with an infrared camera and I see the cold only on ~5% of the evaporator (rest of it is room temperature).
      Freon leaked out?
