Wow you've been doing a lot of RX-78s lately Citrus. As of this reveiw I'm currently building the hg Exia r2 and I'm going to get the O gundam as well (you've convinced me) but anyway great reveiw as always Citrus! Glad to see you've been more active recently. Can't wait to see what you have in store next!
Just a quick question: how can this figure be a "spiritual successor" of the metal robot damashii line when it came out way before them? Maybe it should be the other way around!
Awesome figure, minor kinks but I might hunt it down and pull the trigger if the price is good. Nice review and love the RX-78 fever going on here on your channel.
if all the weapons come off the base thing does it lean back?..i noticed the pistons on the back of it...ive been looking for a cheap way to display the Granddaddy like that...this seams like a decent display piece..
TheGhostofChar79 The back can be readjusted to lean about 10 degrees, but the weight of the figure's will tend to keep it upright. The pistons don't do anything, unfortunately.
thanks for the info...that's sad..thats a pretty cool base...still probly gonna get it...how are the tiny HCM pros compared to this?..ive found some of them really cheap and I'm not sure if they are worth It or not...are they like tiny Robot Damashiis? or more like tiny MSIA?
They're more like tiny versions of these. The sculpts are sharp, details are crisp (especially on some the reissue versions), but articulation isn't the best. 1/200 scale is pretty tiny, so don't be too surprised if they're smaller than you expected.
ive got a couple of the Assault Kingdom guys...so im pretty familiar with the scale...i just want something more detailed than the Assault guys...and the tiny HCMs look just like what i want

Should be "spiritual predecessor," you're right!
The red band on the arm and leg remind me of Raditz
wondering if all of the hcm pros are in this range of scale, I've always wondered if they'd fit in with the rest of my damashiis
Super HCM Pro are 1/144, regular HCM Pro are 1/200, which is quite a bit smaller. :C
