Great work lad 👍 You could always send a cart to the likes of Retro Recipe and 8 bit guy I think they'd absolutely love this project.

Great idea. Though this was on my feed so TH-cam promoting it.

Your hacker intro should have blips and beeps and radar dings for every animation and screen opening..I mean who in the hell would ever have such sfx continuously on their desktops

Nice build. I especially like the different themes and modes in c64matrix.

What a cool project! Love the coverage of the soldering techniques. I had a C64- think it's still in my mom's attic somewhere- the monitor still works. They don't build PC's to last like that anymore! All I could think post ctf was- did you try a buffer overflow? lol. Great job!

Thank you :) Haha, I've actually had the same idea and I've been toying with making a video on it ;)

The song played - comes from the SID or it is digitized?

I'm not sure which song you mean, but I don't think there's any SID playback in that video. If it's one of the background songs it might be in the end credits.

Hi, do you know if any eprom programmer works under Linux? all I see is cheap chinese kits that works via usb under windows only (some even work only on old windows 98/me/nt); and if there isn't any that can run natively on Linux, do you know if they would run virtualized (because of all the signals and communication via usb ports under a vm)?.Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can use the official software using Wine on Linux or the open source minipro tools. I've just seen people do this though, haven't tried myself. I'm also pretty sure you could get it working in a Windows VM by attaching the USB-device to the guest VM.
