This is a nice achievement! IL1 is not the first chose plane to any kind of misson. The Gsbreski is a very special medal. I rediscovered today another forgotten plane in the game-P47B tier VI , and I got a Lambert in it. Great maskinguns, good speed, and ground ordinance. Why is it fun to fly? Humans ignored me mostly so they pay the price. The 8 x12,7 mm maskinguns really tears apart lightfighters. I will play more from now.
I played the P-47B with Elise Clark on NA. It isn't becoming turny, but turn radius went from 13.3 to 12.8, a significant improvement in the handling of the Jug. The firepower is scary on that thing, 432 dps.
There are three things I like about the P-47s. Two of them are that you can play them as a ground attack aircraft or a heavy and the third is that you can dive bomb in them. Just forget they handle like cows. :)
Ah the IL-1, my favourite among tier 6 aircraft. It's got solid guns and it's very turny for it's class. It's superb survivability often comes in handy especially when I'm going after a Gabreski with it. It's speed is fair and I don't find it's low altitude performance a drawback. The easiest map to get a Gabreski with this plane is the one with the pyramids (I forgot it's in-game name sorry) though in 1 specific map loadout.
This plane is like the good old premium planes less effective than the tech tree one. I still prefer the Tornado (with Millie inside of course) and the Corsair looking much cooler than the IL1. I got this plane form a crate, sold it and got it again in a special event crate. I suppose that after your video if I play again one day at this game I will give it a try. I sure hope that you used tokens to specialize it otherwhise it should be your compulsive side ;-)
Or, as I call it, the good old days when dominating a battle meant, most likely, you flew a tech tree plane! This is an old-fashioned premium with enough of a difference to make it interesting, rather than good, you're right. I specialised it the hard way, I think! :)
Nice battle for sure, kinda fortunate those enemy players were clueless. The IL-1 can be quite good given proper MM the issue comes in when the enemy team knows that capping wins the game. You need speed to get to important sectors or when you need to out cap the enemy the IL-1 just doesn't have it.
@@-Infamous-Gaming There's no one right build. It would be nice to have a tool to display the various permutations that are available, but the source information is lacking and the time to develop a solution for that is something I don't have.
Thank you for your feedback, which is exactly the same comment on a second video. Perhaps you'd like to add it to all the videos, since you seem keen to advertise yourself as not a fan? Additionally, thank you for creating your new YT account and coming here immediately.

Well, if I've encouraged you, I'm pleased! Enjoy. :)

I should point out that us mere mortals are generally pleased to get a Gabreski medal with this plane. Quinlan prints them. :)

Whilst you're right, you can only play what's in front of you - and set your plane up to do what it does well as well as it possibly can.
@@TheNobleQ Fair enough
@@-Infamous-Gaming I will be trying a speed build on the plane at some point, partly as a result of your comment.
@The Noble Q I personally use a hybrid build and it works quite well IMO

Not a fan - the info is pretty good but the narrative comes across a pretty pompous - that alone takes away from the watchability of this material
